I was pleasantly surprised to hear my firmware mentioned (gameboy enhanced) when I came to see doom. Always nice to have positive feedback. As far as I know, the latest version of m5launcher has a specific partion mode that you can select to allow the installation of Doom as of version 2.1.0; great demonstration of the whole process and of the Doom port. Thank you!
It even has a OTA to detect card skimmers. I travel for work and use it often.

I bought a Cardputer probably two months ago and haven't even done anything with it. Actually, I had mostly forgotten about it. I'm now on my way to install M5Launcher! Thanks.

@@andrinhaberzettl1675 I use the M5 launcher but it default loads shark atm. Only issue I have is when booting from M5launcher the color scheme doesn't save over to next boot. Other than that I have zero issues! Great work brother!

Can you use on external keyboard on the cardputer?
Amazing video, haha after I saw the last video on this and bought the cardputer, where do you download all those sd files to put into the cardputer ?

M5burner makes a .bin for each you download and you grab that from your local file system, rename, put on the SD card and that's all. Now M5Launcher can see it and you can see if it runs. (Don't use other than StampS3/Cardputer binaries.) "A normal burn/flash" is just that one and then you need to re-flash with M5Launcher to get back to that arrangement.
The only issue with Launcher is when it comes time to update....unless they've fixed that. Edit: This is amazing! 🤯👍

The ability to update m5launcher from within itself is on the roadmap listed on the projects Github page.

Digi-key has a ton of M5 stuff and in the USA. I live 3 hour from them and for electronics they are often forgotten about even tho they have things Amazon does not have in stock.
