I'm a dbd veteran. Been playing since early 2017. Thought I'd offer some words on some things that might help you out on your journey. EDIT: Yeah I eventually got to where you said you aren't playing it again. I already typed all this though, so here it is 18:02 Yes, the orange bar guarantees a self-unhook if it's full. It only fills up all the way if the killer keeps camping, though 19:45 There are some fixed gen spawns, but most are RNG. There are some perks that help you find them faster. Also, in outdoor maps, you can sometimes spot them by the big pole that sticks up out of them 23:18 You can be interrupted and grabbed during the exit gate animation. Very risky to keep hold of it right in a killer's face 25:55 She ran through the door with the pallet next to it. Her scratch marks lead that way 27:20 Dwight was caught in one of your bear traps while you were chasing the Claudette 35:34 The distinctive sound of the hatch can be heard here, to your right. The hatch had just spawned next to you, so this would have been a perfect opportunity to close it and deny Jake any possibility of escape. I was very nervous watching you chase him after that! This is something I always see with new players on both sides, so I know it is not immediately intuitive that that sound is the hatch 47:22 Once you started the Huntress match, you turned around and started looking in the corner of the map behind you. Survivors would not have spawned there. You generally want to start out walking to generators further away on the map. Usually not directly across the map, though. If you find some videos of people playing with the perk Lethal Pursuer, that should give you a good idea of roughly where survivors spawn in relation to you 48:14 Sick hatchet! 48:28 She actually has a perk that makes her struggle in your grasp harder! The little red icon with the horse in the lower right shows you that she's using the perk Boil Over 48:57 Damn, man. Unironically, you've grasped hatchet aim faster than using the basic attack. A nice, quick chase! 49:19 You get hatchets from lockers. This is the moment you throw your last hatchet. Notice how the yellow auras of hatchets appear in all the lockers around you after this. The game was trying to show you where the hatchets were the whole rest of the match 51:10 The Kate ragequit here. You can tell because of the tone that plays, and because it says "BOT" on the left in the UI where her display name used to be. 54:02 There were scratch marks here. The last survivor was nearby. Also, there was no reason to keep patrolling generators at this point. This is when you look for hatch. I guess the survivor didn't realize this either, since she found you and gave you the kill instead! 1:02:48 So at this point I've now heard you say in the video that you're never playing this game again, so maybe I'd better stop working on this comment as it may be pointless. But that glowing thing is an interactable object related to the killer. Some killers have these, and the game helps you out by showing you the "auras" of these objects. In this case, it's where you get turrets to deter the Xenomorph, but it's also a tunnel entrance from which the Xenomorph can emerge! I'm not taking the time for any more specific comments from here, but it looks like you did pretty well against the Xenomorph! I'll leave it there, then. If you change your mind and go back to the game, I hope these tips help! Otherwise, maybe they will help someone else

Absolutely love this game been addicted since Christmas when i started so shocked it had been out so long never heard of it

"Backshots" 5 minutes in is crazzzyy.

Oddly enough this was the second DBD video i've seen you play DBD and from that first video I never would have guess you were this new. Its a great but frustrating game, i've been for lack of better terms been hooked into it since beginning streaming it over a year ago. You will still learn new things years down the line and it can be frustrating as all hell. But stick with it, it is a ton of fun when everything truly clicks!

Glaf you tried it. I have loved this game so much since i started playing it 3 years ago. The infinite perk combos and possibilities to constantly to learn more. The big comp and casual scenes with lots of variety. I have put almost 4,000 hrs at this point and dont plan on stoping anytime soon. If you ever want a dbd coach let me know

Splitting on gens is the best way to do them. It’s not hide n seek You’ll learn to loop It’s a team game. If someone’s being chased do gens Take agro if your teammate is getting tunneled 🎉🎉🎉

15:10 you def are in a disadvantage for playing controller. mouse and keyboard are always better in this game.
