That cello would have been destroyed for sure... 1- the varnish would have been damaged 2-the glue would start coming apart 3-The timber would have swollen and the pressure of the strings would have warped the timber. 4-water on the bow wouldn't make much of a sound... Just saying

Hi Eddy, you actually DO have an anti-reflective coating on your lenses. When you have it, the reflections are generally purple or green, which yours are. The anti-reflective diminishes the reflection but doesn't eliminate it. Its main purpose is to reduce eye strain for you, not to eliminate glare for us. We probably see it more on your glasses than Brett's because of the angle of the laptop and lights.

  • @anastylos2812

As someone who works in optical, it looks like there is anti-reflective (AR) coating on those lenses. Glasses without AR reflect back white light, but glasses with AR reflect a more green/blue cast, which is visible on your glasses. Also, most people who work in the optical field do promote AR coatings, because it makes such a huge difference.

As a person who wears glasses, I always make it a point that my glasses has those coating. Correct me if I'm wrong professional optical gang, but I think that coating helps on protection to radiation especially from computers. That's why I always have them on glasses because I work on the IT field and Im always in the front of a computer. :)

  • @lariel9

Most lenses have some protection from UV, but typically blue light filters are an additional coating beyond just AR. I swear by the blue light filters, I started sleeping better at night after switching to lenses that had them. I also live on a computer so it's pretty critical for me to have.

As someone who wears glasses, it’s important to spring for anti-reflective and anti-scratch coatings for the lenses. It’s literally like looking through a dirty window without them. Hope you keep that in mind with your next pair of glasses 👓🤓

mercgurl80 I once had such a good pair that people tried to stick their fingers through the lenses thinking there were none. I had to switch optometrists and I’ve never been able to figure out what coating it was... the only downside was it did start peeling after a couple of years, but by then I needed new glasses anyway. Like you say, totally worth the cost!

As a perosn who has a very bad eyesight (my glasses grade is like 700+ now) it's very pricey to get anti-reflective lens so i usually opt to just anti-scratch/multicoated only. Still makes a difference from an ordinary lens.

Yes, he has very little power in the lenses, like -0.25 or -0.5, but not more, which means that he need this glasses for distance viewing. At his age, these glasses don't really affect his near sight capabilities (that should be good, he should see clear from 10cm distance from the eyes), so he doesn't need to adjust his learned behaviour.

“Engine sound is music to ears” is the message of the ad. Compare this to electric cars in which there is no engine sound. The idea is to sell cars that run on petrol and make sound when you step on the gas pedal. That aural feedback from the engine has a certain psychological effect although not very environment friendly.

I think it is not his abilities that they doubted but more so on how the drums sound like whenever he would hit it at different time.

He is a good football player and probably shot at the drums they asked for, but the editing went wrong.

I just want to take a moment to applaud the trumpet player at 6:59 for actually using the right fingerings. Good job.

The way she was fingering would push the valves diagonaly and make them stick more or even break them if she did it for years, can confirm, i used to do that and it RUINED my student trumpets valves but yes she did actually finger right

that very first ad, the cellist was clearly playing in some high position on the A string when the sound was much lower. and her fingers weren't moving to the corresponding notes

There was a music video by Vanessa-Mae where they used a violin that had melting snow or ice on it for one scene (Devil's Trill video). It was plain to see that it was not the violin she used on stage in the last scene of the video...
