Playing an ACTUALLY Authentic Late-War German Army | Gates of Hell: Liberation

Ойындар

This was from a pre-release stream where we were only allowed to play a few specific missions from the campaign. We've played more multiplayer since then and have had a lot of fun with it, I'm really enjoying this DLC. The missions are still hard as balls at times though.

It’s kinda weird but I would also add it’s effectively a modernized and more detailed version of Men of War, with a healthy dose of influence from the old games. There’s some missions that feel like the first game, other that feel like assault squad, and others that feel more original. I’m pretty sure it’s on sale right now too, for the record. I checked and the main game (GOH I mean) and all bundles are on sale for the next couple days.

For example soldiers actually break out of cover to try to kill your tank snipping their positions now, instead of just sitting there. It also has actual campaigns, although the mission design can still be a bit hit or miss it is vastly better than just crappy skirmish missions, and the skirmish missions that exist are far better. Every issue was also improved in some way, it's still a bit jank but now you don't get vehicles flipping almost constantly sometimes. There is much more to it than just visual fidelity and GUI design, they did a lot of work under the hood and with the game design itself.

As it turns out, the bow gunner of the Panther and gunner of the Pershing both survived the war. They met in 2013 back in the same spot they’d once fought over in Cologne, the sole remaining survivors of their crews thanks to a combination of war and time. I recommend the book _Spearhead_ by Adam Makos, which heavily focuses on the stories of both crews, for those who want more information.

The man who's Panther didn't have enough gas didn't learn enough from MoW, you gotta be a greedy little jerry can gremlin and steal all the fuel from the "free" units on the field, cars, buses, trucks (your friend's hull down tank). Anything's free game here for fuel

18:40 the 15cm field gun is so accurate is ridiculous lol, assuming you dont get sniped by counter battery it can dominate infantry and medium armor and it's max range (roughly 160 meters) there's practically no spread

Gates of Hell has to be the best WW2 RTS out right now. It's a tighter, more refined cousin to Men of War with the fat trimmed, way more variety in missions, a ludicrious attention to detail and some awesome support from the devs. I truly hope to see it's community thrive for many years to come.

tip for you guys, inside vehicles there is a fuel can, you can put it in a guys inventory double click on it, he will equip it, you can then right click on a vehicle to fill fuel can, then you can fuel other vehicles :)

this is literally my experience when I play modded gates of hell conquest on hard. Enemy spams millions of units and by the fifth battle, my whole army is practically soviet equipment save for maybe a tiger or panther that'll get blown up by a stray katyusha rocket

The Calliope crew you find eating cheese and drinking beer is a reference to Kelly’s Heroes, it’s noticeable with the tank commander looking like Oddball

Rimmy you missed that the secret objective tank commander eating cheese is highly likely to be Oddball from Kelly's Heroes, and it looks like the armoured division commander is Brad Pitt from Fury.

Something I"m noticing that GoH lacks (along with MoW), auto-revive should be be toggled and given a 10-15m radius for medics and a UI alert when units are being engaged.

10:05 This dude from New York and his buddies drove all the way from Kasserine Pass to tell you in particular that FDR sends his regards. 10:45 to 11:45 Literally, Fury But It's A Panther. 16:17 If the American Sniper praying wasn't enough proof The Gates of Hell Devs are based history nerds, the Battle of the Bulge mission has War Daddy go yell at Oddball to get his tank working.
