You say that as if you suggest Fairy does, he is only known to play 1s a fair amount in Johnny's showmatches however if you review is RL tracker data of 1s games over most of the recent seasons they will show a similar trend to Squishy... Not too many 1s games at all

I really enjoyed this one. Very interesting to hear you talk yourself through the game. It does seem like you recognize really quickly when you need to fix your thought process/mentality, and you were able to do so to some effect while playing. That’s really good. GGs man keep it up. I think you’d make an even better showing with more exposure to his style.

Vacanus I would like to point out, while I agree, Fairy Peak is most definitely the best 1v1 player in the world right now, I would have to say the best 1v1 player to ever play the game is Scrub Killa in my opinion.

JG124 I just can’t see it anymore, especially not after Scrub’s recent loss to him in a 1k match, and fairy went on to beat 2 more people. Yes Scrub is super clutch in finals, but fairy is just sooo dominant over the entire 1’s scene. He only lost 2 matches in over a year and he avenged both of them handily.

@@vacanus9791 I agree, but in terms of the history of 1v1s, Scrub was at one point just as dominant as Fairy. And even now he's not far behind. I do believe at this point in time, Fairy is a better 1v1 player than Scrub. But I still believe Fairy hasn't surpassed Scrub on the "all time" list.

@@JG124_ My only counter to that is, think of how skilled people are now compared to when Scrub was dominant. Fairy is dominant (even more so than Scrub was) in a much more skilled and mechanically versed age of Rocket League. There are so many more skilled 1's players now, all of whom have unique playstyle and ridiculous mechanical abilities, and Fairy destroys them all. Also, Scrub never had a record as good as Fairy, he never even came close to having a winstreak as large as Fairy did.

@@vacanus9791 You have a point there. But, keep in mind, it's not like Scrub had access to mechanical skills that other players didn't have at that time. So in hindsight it might be easier to dominate in that time period, but at the time it was just as impressive as what Fairy is doing now. Because they were all on an even playing ground. The same as how Fairy is on an even playing ground with other top players today. That's why it's not the full truth to say "Fairy plays against better competition" even though the player base as a whole has improved, so has Fairy. So it balances out. At the time Scrub was consistently beating the best competition there was, exactly the same as how Fairy is today. The other thing that makes me believe Scrub is still the greatest 1v1 player of all time is his ability to play under pressure. Sure his record in show matches against Fairy is not favorable. But, his record in grand finals against Fairy is 2-0. That doesn't mean Scrub is a better 1v1 player than Fairy at this point in time. But it does solidify his status as the GOAT for the time being, at least in my opinion. The fact that he managed to maintain his position as a top level 1v1 player is so impressive. Even if he's no longer the best, he can still give the best a run for his money, when it comes down to it. And even win when the pressure is highest. And that is something that his honestly very rare in top level RL players today.

Fairy is just so damn smart, that’s why he’s number 1

I would love to see you grind 1's hard to see how good you'd get. I'd definitely watch that series!

I think fairy’s best trait is that he’s so smart, he’s ready for almost anything at any time and can predict opponents so easily. As soon as you turn to challenge he’s already putting it past you. Truly mastered the art of 1v1

@@keptitreal1003 except he is. Just had a 1's video like 2 videos ago. had a series on 1's. He doesn't play pros at 1's, at least not recorded but he used to main 1's back in the day. He just likes to come up with excuses to why he will lose so it doesn't look as bad. Just like the first kick off goal saying he's going to lose just because his kick offs aren't as good and they barely made a difference in the series.

(If you are trying to say that he has no excuse since he played 1s religiously *back in the day*, that's not a strong argument: case and point what I said above). He does barely play 1s now (barely=not everyday) since 1s kind of requires play at least once a day so that ppl are in the loop of the norm in 1s and to develop 1s techniques/shots.

This was very informational. To see a 3s god struggle so hard in 1s vs Fairy is insane. But that goes to show you Squishy that you can really get better as a player. Players like Fairy expose those weaknesses in our play. Nobody is a perfect RL player. How vulnerable you were to quick challenges, and also Fairy hits the ball with max power EVERY TIME. Truly scary to leave the net open when he can literally turn and boom a shot in 0.5 seconds. GGs brother! Take this not as a L in 1s, but as what you can really do better for your overall play.

Yeah that's true. But that's why 3s and solo duels are very different.same as fairy in a 3s situation. All of squishys hits are catered for team play. You can't really play ball hoggy in 3s with pros cause it creates too much space. I think the only thing he can learn that would benefit him in 3s is 50/50s

I think Fairy Peaks playstyle really counters the mechanical players like squishy, they rely on boost too much. But Fairy can take anyone really. Eekso vs Squishy could be a very close game I think. Although he is from EU also so maybe an NA player would be easier. Like Forky or Lionblaze.

National language is English, it’s only in QC that French is the main language. They learn English and speak it daily though. And there’s a difference, people from QC speak the old French, while we (France) speak the « modern » one.
