Playing a Veteran CoD Campaign I’d Never Heard Of
Ойындар
A blind Veteran playthrough of Call of Duty: Roads to Victory for the PSP. Now that the original goal of playing every core Call of Duty campaign is complete, we return to the past again to take on this 2007 portable CoD that wasn't on my radar whatsoever. It turned out I'm not very good at it.
Edited full game commentary playthrough.

Related to the captain of the famed heavy cruiser USS Pillar of Autumn
That cod 3 main menu theme will always be great to hear. One of my favorites.

Not the best game overall, but iconic af with characters, game mechanics, and score. Imagine world at war without these huge strides :((

i was thinking the same, made a game i’ve never played feel nostalgic

I think Treyarch did a much better job at making the characters memorable and relatable in their CoD games than Infinity Ward's back in these days. Spark in Finest Hour also did a great job. Call of Duty 3 wasn't a European campaign spanning game, but for the small portion of the war it portrayed, it made it feel real.
The single analog stick was easily the most treacherous feature of the PSP

I'm convinced that there is no psp that has ever had its factory analog stick for more than a few months. They're the first thing to go wonky.
I love the fact they focused on the 82nd Airborne but only showed footage of SPECIFICALLY the 101st 💀💀
This game was so good, and once you actually get used to using the symbols to look around it’s a lot of fun
Options campaign suggests you’re a turncoat which honestly sounds really cool
I agree that poor quality explosion sound is such a meme
I loved this game so much when I was younger. It may not be a great game but it is a very fun one, I love every memory it gave me and thank it for introducing me to the Call of Duty franchise.

same, my first cod, and game on a console. What a time.
Wow, even some of the VAs from CoD 3 are in this game.
Love unexpected Leslie Nelson impression by the Canadian CO.
Lucky 13 was so good as a kid. Loved going all around the plane and taking multiple gunner positions to fend off the enemy planes.
I was thought the killmarkers and atmosphere on the maps were cool as hell with the crunchy audio and smoke clouds even if the game wasn’t good elsewhere. The encyclopaedia is also a great touch, “screaming Mimi” has been stuck in my head for 10 years now.
This series is so entertaining, I don't know why. I like to watch it in the background while I work.
You should try out the DS games. They are pretty rough
I loved this one, my childhood!!!
when i was a kid pc and psp were the only systems i had and i remember having a really good time with this even tho it was obviously pretty wack to play this unlocked some really deep memories thank you for this
gotta do the ds ones now too smile
My day was good, when i saw that S0ur uploaded my day got better
I grew up with this cod on the PSP. One of my all time favorite games, big part of my childhood, and the theme is just mythic levels of legendary amazingness.
Music from cod 3. Menu from cod 2. Player models from the test phase of cod 1. Gotta love it
This series has been so much fun to watch. Plus you've got an awesome voice that makes it soothing to watch these videos.
I remember this is one of the first video game i played. I loved it so much that I kept on redoing the campaigns and still won't get tired of it. This game is golden to me.
Loving this series, keep up the great work! Also looking forwards to a 1-year DMZ retrospective or such now that it's over..if you had one planned, that is!
Makes my week to see you upload! Love this series!
The "oh brother" after that Options joke got me real good😂 Great video!
“ALL HELL, that didn’t do piss all” - absolutely decimated and not a worry at all.
I wonder if you'll play the DS games as well. I actually still own all of them from when I was little. Unironically, one of my most proud gaming achievements was completing COD MW3 Defiance on Veteran. No joke, the best way to do it for me was using the throwing knife the entire time. An instant kill with infinite uses when using the DS's slugglish control scheme was WAY more consistent than using guns!

black ops for DS slapped when i was like 12
So hyped you’re playing this, this was my first cod
Please keep doing videos like this! Especially other games you have mentioned you have played but I need video proof we need you’re video content as evidence
Noice! I'm excited to see your playthrough of the Vita Black Ops spinoff.
Can't believe you've actually got to this! My first ever COD I ever played!
It's been great reliving memories with the other old cod games, but this is the first time I've ever seen a playthrough of roads to victory. I remember me and my friends talking about it back when it was new, but none of us had a psp. This probably would've been fun back then!
The bonk sound effect when he short threw that grenade and it hit you had me dying😂
Used to play the hell out of this as a kid on psp good to see you cover it
cool being early to one of your videos, great content as always
its nice to see the filthy 13 in cod after watching a video essay about it and Jake McNiece pretty cool. i've now binged every cod quest video now onto this one.
Can't believe you beat this on veteran with set D controls! Good job! I've always found set A quite good considering the limitations, even beat the game on normal with auto aim disabled, this coming from a considerably crappier player than yourself. It has a very intuitive button control for what should be an analog control, much like the early gran turismo games when played with the d-pad.
I’ve been waiting for this one

My first cod
I think Amaze did an okay job considering what they were given to work with. When this came out for PSP originally, it was revolutionary
My first ever Call of duty game. Its what got me interested in WW2 and call of duty
Oh wow this is my childhood game! Played this one a lot with my dad! So nostalgic...
Bro I just found your channel and I fucking love it ! New sub , I’m a mechanic and I wrote down a funny ass quote you said from the rooftop warfare videos and I put it on my toolbox for inspiration lmaoooo , “copy striker 2 this is overlord actual we’re seeing quirked up white boy to your north be advised he’s bussin it down sexual style” and that reallly gets me through my tough days so fucking how 😂 love the channel keep it up
If you played this cod on the PS Vita you would’ve been able to use the second analog stick for camera control, and it came for free with a copy of Black Ops Declassified!
So, this is late, but you can map the face buttons to any button or axis on the controller in PPSSPP. This so map the face buttons to each direction on the right analogue.

True I suppose, although no regrets playing it the old way and having it be part of the challenge lol

@@S0ur Fair enough. I do prefer the face buttons for camera moement in PSP FPSs
Amazing video
I hope he does bo1 on the Nintendo DS, I played it as a kid and all I can remember about it is how good it was.
I never got to play this call of duty game. It’s a shame so rare to see Canadian campaign in the video games. I know call of duty 3 and this video game
Just a little correction. The Bren and FG-42 are both present in the game, except only in the survival mode. Where Bren replaces BAR, and Fg-42 replaces stg-44. Still a very fun game to me.
My first cod and honestly still one of my favorites
5:0 you can actually save this guy from dying, he is invincible until you get close to him, he will never stop firing, but he does very little damage. So in order to save him you just need to stand back and let him shoot for like 10 minutes until he killed the two Germans who would normally kill him.
I love this game. I remember playing the multiplayer with 3 other cousins in a room doing 2v2's. What an odd time.
If an FPS on PSP sounds weird to you. You should know they had several on the Gameboy Advance and even a proto-FPS on the original Gameboy.
I had no idea this game existed either! Too cool.
I loved this game when I was younger🥺. I had a PSP but only had this and a WWE game and when ever I see either of them it’s like being 10 again😫
My friend used to bring his psp to school and would let me play this game during breaks. Fun memories.
Gonna have to put this game on soon like good memories
I feel like getting mad at the PSP for only having one stick isn’t fair. The DS didn’t have any sticks, and the 3DS only had one. Also the Vita port included with Black Ops Declassified does have two stick support
I remember when my Dad got me this game!!! A definate favorite of mine!!
Oddly enough, I make many of these rough-cod games more fun by adding another challenge to the game. I've beaten Roads to Victory by only being allowed to headshot enemies and World at War DS by only being able to hip-fire with manual action weapons.
I too had a PSP but i think I only used it to play battlefront 2 as it was the only disk i had. I never new this existed as well.
I think as these games go. One tends to realize just how important and comfortable controls have become over the years, and how the modern games smoothen the controls to make the joysticks fluid as opposed to how stiff they sometimes are in say the PS vita.
Cpl Doornick in the Glider Crash mission sounds a LOT like Neebs, if you know who that is lol
oh maaan im so nostalgic for this game I remember playing this when I was 12 and I didnt have a console
This technically was my first COD ever and I still love it to this day.
SOur, are you willing to try MWIII zombies the same way you tried DMZ? Can't wait for the DMZ one year update! love the content!!
@S0ur
7 ай бұрын
Thanks :) The main difference would be that DMZ is free to play, while I'd have to borrow an account to try zombies, so I can't say I'm super interested in making it happen currently. Not impossible
I love this game, as a kid I have great memories
I wouldn't say I have "fond" memories of this game but I definitely have memories of it
23:41 This guy, Lieutenant Chard, I recognize that voice. Is that the voice of the colonel from Metal Gear Solid?
You still have the DS games to try. Pretty brutal. Some of them even included a (local network) multiplayer mode.
as a dutchman, your pronunciation of "woensdrecht" is actually really good
Babe wake up, new S0ur cod campaign video just dropped.
The PSP was pretty good, i remember it being a pretty good music player as well, though some fps games on there definetly had FPS issues like star wars battlefront 2 There was a port of the Brothers in arms games, like it was the first game and the expansion pretty crudely attached together, and sometimes FPS got to around i'm guessing from 10-15 in a few sections which was an issue, but it did really well considering its two full PC games stitched together. there was also medal of honor heroes which had two of them but i think the first one's campaign was just multiplayer matches pretending to be one, but heroes 2 at least had missions. Really the PSP had some really good ports.
The best part is you reading the mission text in character.
I have searched your channel to try to find an OG MW3 (2011) campaign walkthrough but couldn’t find one. You should do one or post a link if you already have and I have overlooked it
I love how they talked about the 82nd Airborne in the video but all the footage is of the 101st..lol
Love how when talking of the 82nd Airborne, they show 101st Airborne footage lol
3:25 reminds me of playing Quake on the Dreamcast. A B X Y to move, left stick to turn the camera. Veeeery clunky.
I had over the hedge for the original Xbox and it’s so much fun
I know this is a cod series playthrough, so I'm aware I'll probably get banished to some far flung gulag, but would you be up for the challenge of the medal of honor series?
any time they mentioned windows, i always thought of call of duty big red one and the window guy.
This game broke me as a child. The issue with having to use face buttons to look is a godamn nightmare
This game is a mashup of cod 1 and 3 (literally)
Call of duty on ngage had worst controls
Semi regular sour uploads 🤯
Sadly i don't think you can do all the cods anymore. COD Online was shutdown sadly and so were 3 of the mobile games.
actually the bren n fg42 are exist in survival mode and become your secondary weapon in the entire missions *note the fg 42 doesn't look like fg42, the gun itself not the gun either
i played the shit outta this back in the day, i spent ages looking for glitches.
Oh yeah. I played the hell out of this one back in the day.
Sour i think you should play the better psvita version of roads to victory
I enjoyed this game despite hating the PSP for not having duel thumb sticks
Uh wow, nice!
I thought the British narrator at the beginning was a TTS, he sounded EXACTLY like the one that a bunch of videos use
AFTER YOU ARE DONE PLEASE PLAY EARLY MEDAL OF HONOR GAMES! THE ORIGINAL CALL OF DUTY'S!
Don’t forget the DS COD games if you’re going for every COD. Also COD mobile lmao
Honestly the worst part of owning a PSP wasn’t having a singular analog stick, but more the fact the stick’s texture was an absolute cheese grater after a few hours of playtime. Never realised COD had a PSP game though, doesn’t seem like the absolute worst thing they could have made with all bottlenecks considered.
You should play the PS2 Medal of Honor games. There's 4, and they're old school gems
This was my first ever CoD I played
Still play this on the psp now
Is that Paul Eiding in the American campaign?!
Is it being played on PC simulator? Cuz now it has a much higher resolution than how it was in my memory lol.
