This is awesome!! I don't understand why they don't make a game with this. They could call it "FIFA LEGENDS" or something! Seems like such a wasted potential. Id love to see all the legendary players and classic clubs face off against one another in the glory days

I'd love to see a mode where you can go back and play legendary matches, like for example the Istanbul game, you take over the team after half time and have to win the match, that would be sick

@@Adrian-lm1vi There was this mod in the official game of UEFA Champions League made by EA. I don't remember which one exactly but I think it must be 06-07 version.

It would be a really cool concept if career mode could let you start from certain era of football and like make the history of your custom club through the years. But knowing that Fifa is under lazy EA's hands, it will never have attention to detail, or extra stuff

i switched to PES 2 years ago (we don't talk about eFootball okay that was a disgrace i still play PES 21) but having this would make me buy both it's actually such a great idea. You should become a game designer/director if you're up for it

Sometimes I wish I can play with like a 2006 roster on Fifa 22 with the kits and teams that were in each league that season. Would love to play a career mode and sign a Pirlo, Totti, or Zidane.

Would be awesome but that’ll make the fame way huge in size than it is now. Also, the have to collect info about football from that era so that’ll be a huge pain in ass which EA won’t do lol

Not only should they add a retro mode and classic teams, but also classic stadiums (both for use in kickoff and FUT). Being able to play matches at Highbury, old Wembley, Olympiastadion Munich, etc. would be a dream

Dont think so alex Ferguson for example is still alive and 80 he would of been in his 20s in the 60s these players would of been in their 20s maybe a couple in their 30s

One thing really interesting i noticed when playing this a few years ago, is that the comentry speaks about the introduction of the red and yellow card system that was going to be used later in the world cup. Miss this so much, we really need something new for the next fifa, EA got to work a bit more, and stop thinking about money man, we want to see big updates, and new creative and interesting cool stuff, not just getting subbed on into a game of player career mode.

Yeah but fifa (the governing body) is different to the nba, the nba owns the rights to teams and players, whereas fifa only does active licences i believe

@@n0body550 after seeing another batch of retro kits added back in to the game for FUT there literally isn’t any excuse for them and some of the legends can’t be added. Even if they did custom roster shares, so people can download rosters others make, just laziness at this point.

There's this mod called 'fifa classic patch' which is pretty amazing tbh. It pretty much covers football from 1908 until the WC 2018. Unfortunately, it is only for fifa 14 and 16, but I personally enjoy playing this mod. Maybe if we can get enough players playing this mod, they can get the resources to bring it to a next gen fifa

A year late, but the lore of the volley you have to score is already in The Journey series. Remember that vintage ball Alex has in his room? That belongs to his grandfather. He told Alex that he scored his 100th goal, which is that volley, with that ball. In which he describes the volley as "sweet as a nut".

There's a mod called FIFA Classic for FIFA 14 PC that let's you play teams from 1920's to 2020 and that mod is similar to this. Ofc you need a legal copy of FIFA 14 you can't get anymore.

if fifa had iconic teams like 2k it would be the best game to play against friends, imagine playing barca with the likes of xavi, puyol, iniesta, vs the likes of a drogba led chelsea. need it

Tbf if you see pictures of old football grounds, they were advert boards, and actually have been since the late 1800s

NBA2K started offering retro teams a WHILE ago and FIFA needs to get on board. There’s a ton of us that are a little older that can remember teams like The Invincibles or El Galactico and would LOVE to getting that feeling of nostalgia!

i don;t understand why no game developers created a football game set in the historical period such as 1910's yet. it would sell really well

Play a legend mode in fifa like on nba with the old stadiums,jerseys etc…

it would be nice, but with simulating a kind of vintage game, y mean slower pace, different formations, lots of goals, more hard fouls, and more injury resistant players...etc

They kick off with 3 player instead of 2, and swing in corner is very rare back then. Those 2 details should be happen in this video

yeah it's crazy they have this readily available but don't let us use it, it's my biggest issue with fifa is how they just don't give people fun little things we can play with unless it's for the purpose of a game mode they want to sell, honestly I'd love it if they just had an option for each club to have a 1960s style kit we could use if we want. Pretty much every non ea sports franchise has these retro options but oh well

honestly just allow for players to create and share our own databases without modding and the fanbase would probably create it themselves and we could have a career mode set in like the 1920s if we wanted
