Leave the lead tube in place! Your vacuum cleaner supply is a bit strong. Use a stethoscope to search for leaks.

It is not ideal to run a player piano from a shop vac as the vacuum level is WAYYY too high for what the system is designed for. That vacuum is pulling 100 or more inches of water, whereas the player is designed to run from 5-10. Tiny leaks from leather pores, or minute gasket issues are greatly amplified and can show false positives when troubleshooting. You'll get more accurate results and realistic diagnostics be either introducing a bleed (hole) in the vaccum line feed, or by dialing down the running speed with a variable power source (plug on a dimmer).

Maybe use a roll without holes and huge missing spots

Can the sound of this piano be connected to the PA systme

You will need at least a pair of microphones, one near the bass end and one near the treble end to pick up the sound.
