I really like how the dev combined classic and modern sonic with this. They gave him Modern's deeper blue color and Classic's Black eyes, with them turning green with emotion, and made his height/stature a bit taller than Classic's but not as tall as Modern's. It really feels as if this sonic could be classic OR modern instead of focusing on one iteration over another.
