Just remember all Beaches are (free) public access!!! Some have pathways to the beach as mentioned on this video with bathroom & showers ! Mamitas beach as access also! You can access the beach almost on every street from 5th avenue! Thx for the information 😊

Have booked a family trip in Jan with two of our daughters who are 20…. Would you say it is a safe area? And could you share where you stayed and any restaurant or market recommendations. Thanks!

I feel that PV is quite safe. There were lots of families and single travelers out and about. We gave a tour of our AirBnB on our PV Cost of Living video and included the link in the description. The place we stayed at was one block from 3 major grocery stores. We had so many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. If you have any additional questions please let me know! Thanks for watching!

Did you see much .. if any .. sargassum seaweed at the beaches? One hears a lot of different reports.

I completely understand your concern as we have heard the sargassum varies from day to day. We were there in October and saw little to no sargassum. However, from what I understand the summer months are the worst for the seaweed.

I've been here for 18 days (its march 28th 2024 today). 7 more left. Yes. Most days there is a lot of sargassum. Its ugly. It stinks. It rots in the sun. They clean it up extremely well on coco beach, and pretty well in beach 72. They they use a tractor and put it in a MASSIVE hill on Playa 88. Its discusting but the locals dont seem to mind it. Playa Punta Esmerelda has a fresh water Cinote, it is definitely a local (non tourist) beach and the water isnt very beautiful. So much seaweed. The best food is up and down the strip of 30th Avenida Norte. ALL up and down the strip and especially at little hole in the wall restaurants. AMAZING food that the locals eat. The closer you get to the center of town the bigger things start to get and the more things cost. I prefer "old Playa" (near Punta Esmerelda and Playa 72) much, much more. Food is cheaper and the people are MUCH nicer. 5th is over rated but if you have money to burn, enjoy. ❤

@@JennyJAldrichthanks for you comment. As I mentioned, the sargasso situation changes day to day and yes I agree, 5th Ave is definitely more expensive. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
