in my 5v3 game in koto's tourney, owl got level 3 puffin really early along with a hawk and scaling, and I felt that I just had no chance whatsoever. I think my only hope was pandora's box to neuter the puffins so that my team would actually survive past the start of battle. It kind of felt like the p4 matchup with figs in that regard
