This alto was exquisitely hand crafted in the Selmer Factory in Paris France in 1948. We have just given it a full extensive COA and it seals beautifully from top to bottom. The body tube is nice and straight there are no dents or dings even in the bottom bow, and the Neck is original to the horn and has never been pulled down! Selmer SBAs have an absolutely gorgeous and sweet sounding warm core to the sound and a wonderful warmness that is difficult to describe. Intonation is nearly textbook flawless. The action on this alto is light and smooth and the keys are very ergonomically placed with the radially rotated lower stack (compared to the previous Balanced Action Altos). It is completely gig ready and at this price it will not be available long!
