Back on the Orange Label and Nike SB goes back to skate culture to be inspired by the Sony VX1000 Camcorder ... and yup, they did it again ... Mr B is a happy boy today.

Way back when in the days before we could just whip our our iPhone to capture the moment the tech of choice for the skate community was the VX1000 Sony camcorder released in 1995. It's wide-angled fisheye lens appealed to skaters worldwide capturing everyone from that time.
Nike SB have done it again with their sneaker storytelling on this Orange Label Nike SB Dunk, available only from independent skatestores. Using the lens-inspired aesthetics for this Dunk that just works. The grey, with the text writing, through to the flash of red on the sole these are just a very nice Nike SB Dunk, totally wearable.
These do remind me 2015’s Nike SB x Atlas Dunk Low Premium ‘Wolf Grey’ that were effectively inspired by monochrome snapshots captured by notable skate photographers Mark White and Joe Brook and released via a collaborative and reflectively titled ‘35mm’ pack, a sneaker I have and love, which is probably why I also have so much love for this pair too!

I put the grey laces in and it works so much better. I never swap the laces, this is actually the first time I’ve done it and normally get thrown in the box.
I am a lucky one that managed to get these and I had to put them on feet immediately! I’ve been pretty blessed with SB Dunks in the past 12 months and the VX1000 are by far the best. I’ve been making unnecessary trips to Asda just so I can wear them...and for Brewdog!!
love these! orange label line always puts out amazing quality and detailed sb's! I feel like these 'Camcorder's' / 'VX1000's' definitely one-up the Atlas SB Dunk Low 35mm from a few years back

The red isn’t meant to represent the ‘record’ button it’s supposed to be the AUX ports for the red (and yellow) aux cables you’d plug in to the cam to play your footage on a TV or to capture. It’s actually my favourite detail of the entire sneaker; making the lace holes the infamous aux red / yellow - genius.

So ... I just went through the manual, randomly, and while I don’t think it said PEAK a on the camera, I can see that it had an indicator to show when the audio was peaking ... the. Random things you learn 😎🙏
