RPG is the best category of video games for learning english (generaly calm and full of dialogs).
I learned English playing Zelda, Final Fantasy I to X and Phantasy Star. Now I teach English for a living.
Finally a teacher that shows to the world that video games are not just for addiction. I've learned sooo much through them. Thanks for the class teacher. And for those who play video games, the cutscenes are amazing for learning, so don't jump them.

Not a native English speaker here and I can confirm, this is working. Never learned English in school, only through games. And I may suck at it most of the time, but I think I have enough knowledge to at least understand and speak some of it. So yeah, it may be not the best method and not the fastest (it took me like 17 years to get where I am now and I'm still learning), but it is way more fun and useful than a textbook, that teach you the posh and way too polite English, not your everyday one.
I just watched Your 13 years old adjective and adverb video❤. It helped me so much understanding the deference between adj. and adv.. Thank you very much.
