Well, eventually the sequel Platypus II 's first level took place in an icy area, so... you aren't entirely wrong that we won't ever play that area :'D XD

It's platypus 1 level 2! The water evaporated the beginning of an end is in just few steps ahead...

@@thedestroyer1339 Although I've already known that loong ago, it's still pretty impressed how such a classy-arcade style-like game had such amazing lore just by changing the environments and its aesthetics from previous known levels, including all the other levels, and the sad part, there are no more sequels to Platypus 2, I assume they discontinued it or something. Would really like Platypus 3 rn, idc if it didn't aged well, I just wanted to play my classic childhood game in 2021 lol

There was going to be a fifth level *X* which was cut from the game. Whether it was meant to be some 5th level or a shortcut to the final boss after beating the game, we'll never know.

There’s an environmental theme to this whole game. The 4th level shows what the humanoids Of planet Mongola have done to a portion of the planet. The first 3 levels show the balanced and pure nature of the planet

I agreed, the gameplay is INCREDIBLE despite having an old game is better than the future. Platypus is my childhood game that I'll never forget! (yet I'm still playing it till' this very day) Games these days (this year: 2019) are pure cringey absolute stupid trends and things

The last mission, full of enemies and egg like enemies. The new mid boss he will try to kill you, he fires the laser from the players The new weapon called Lightning, the coolest weapon from that game. But actually the ship will biggest explosion with the weapon pods or lasers, full of fruits and very kureiji area. The best mission ever to reach the high scores. The final boss, he launch the homing missiles, he spawn the yellow egg enemies and call the support of green egg or cylinder eggs. The mission was over This music was same from the C64 games "Driller"

I heard some people thought that if you beat the entire game perfectly, a secret fifth level would open up, but no one has disproven that, nor proven it, so its shrouded in mystery.
