The Plaisir comes in a range of very nice metallic colours. Even though the Preppy has the same nib/feed and section, the extra cost of the Plaisir is well worth it, in my opinion. I think I am going to have to buy a Plaisir for everyday writing. Thank you OdE for a great review.

I think I been leaving my Plaisir over a year writing with only once in while and no hard starts no problem. The cartridge has been there for ever.

I think this or the Prefonte are good pens to give someone to introduce them to fountain pens. In my experience with the Preppy, they are good, reliable writers. One of my students brought a fountain pen to school today - it was a Zebra. She let me write with it and I liked it.

Yes, good writers. This and the Peppy are the only Platinum pens I ever tried. Quite good. I never tried a Zebra, though. Now I am curious about it.

@@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita I have never heard anyone say anything good about the Zebra fountain pen. Zebra makes great ballpoints and pencils, however, the fountain pen writes very fine and dry. I think it's a good pen to introduce someone to the hoby, though.

Thanks Paulo. This pen is very good i think , I've had one for some time and i like it. I do have a convertor in mine which is half the price of the pen , yes i could have refilled cartridges but I didn't . I think it would be a good pen for someone getting to the hobby as well as people who are establish . I like the normal preppy but i dislike all the writing all over the pen , i believe they do make them in a cleaner version now (I could be wrong ) but the ones i have write great but are annoying to look at , well at least that's what i think.

I agree.This looks much nicer. The Preppy looks almost as a disposable pen, which it is not...

Thanks! With the adapter it fits in the section. But then it gets too long to fit inside the barrel. So, you can't use it, Unless you use a shorter converter (like Kaweco mini converters) or short international ink cartridges.

A Platinum converter can also be used.

It looks like a very nice pen. I like the color but I like “M” ”B” nibs.
