I heard a trick to beating the last Valkyrie is to put tape over the boss health bar. As you see the health bar going down it effects how you play, you lose focus on the mechanics of the fight and instead are focusing on the health bar. This effect becomes more prominent at lower health levels, the heart races, adrenaline spikes, hands shake. However if you don't know the bosses health then you fight normally from start to finish. You just keep fighting the same until the end. That is how I beat her. Well done man.

There's an option to remove the health bars on enemies in the settings. That's how I played the game and helped so much

What I’ve noticed is they attack much faster as they get to their last two squares of health so I think you’re right. Adding anxiety of looking at the health bar takes away from you needing to focus on their attacks which are coming much more frequent than before. I might have to adopt that strategy.

Impressive. You're certainly more dedicated than me. I like getting platnums for games I enjoy but have no problem lowering the difficulty if it's too hard. I figure the challenge isn't worth it if I'm not having fun. FF7 Remake was about the only hard mode run I actually completed.

I salute you for this. I’ve raged on normal difficulty on most enemies. Can’t imagine on this difficulty

I just watched this and wanted to say I 100% feel your pain about fighting Sigrun. I platinumed the game on a lower difficulty but wanted to beat her on GMGOW and it took me probably 150 tries at least. I applaud your efforts and completely related to every frustrating moment you had. Well done finishing the game on GMGOW difficulty from the beginning as that's no easy feat!

for the blast that you "couldn't" avoid all you had to do was dodge backwards, also allows you to counter the follow-up better. I know it doesn't matter now since you got it, but if anyone else is having the same issue i hope this helps.

First time playing this game was a while ago. I had played on Give me a God of War because I’m the worlds best gamer, and man was it exactly how you explained. Die a bunch, get pissed, die some more, rage, die a few more times, win by studying attack patterns and that’s the whole game. And man, when I finished the game, I was on the verge of tears. But I would never cry to a game or movie. As I saw the completion text for the difficulty I laughed maniacally and yelled “THIS GAME IS SO EASY!” Ragnarok was not any different.

Aaahh man. I remember getting my platinum on God mode. 18 hrs non stop only to defeat the final valkyrine queen. It’s a journey I faced but I could not explain to any of my non gamer friends. a price to enjoy till date by myself ❤️

So I didnt realize this until a recent playthrough, but when Jormungandr spits back the Leviathan Axe after we threw it into the lake, there is a bit of text that says Eitr Embued. Eitr is Old Norse for poison and the poison of the World Serpent is known to kill Thor in Norse myth. Thats why we were able to kill Magni with the axe and thats why in Ragnarok when we hit Thor in the stomach with the axe, the wound doesnt heal. I cant believe I never noticed it before.

Just finished doing this challenge and it took me a month but it was the most draining thing I’ve ever done props to you

I remember when i tried this, the first 3/4 hours was just pain but it was a lot of fun

To be fair, if you’re trying to play as close to the Kratos experience in story as possible, easier modes make sense. Kratos is a beastly god, he should absolutely be stomping all lower level enemies

Finished the GoW 2018 three times on GMGOW, love the combat and skills, I got pretty good at it, not gonna lie

This is my favourite game of all time. Sigrun is one of the hardest bosses on normal difficulty Nevermind give me god of war 😂 definitely one of my proudest platinums

Today I spent 5 hours doing the last of my ravens, maps and artefacts, over 1 year after finishing the game on GMGOW NG+. Insanity and pain, but a nice completion

The first time i played through 70% of the story, and never finished it was like this play through. I picked it up recently and ive blasted through the entire thing up until the queen valkyrie. Give me god of war both times, not sure how i got better from not playing for 3 years

I did 100% on Give Me God Of War when the game launched on Steam and oh boy. I didnt play something so challenging and fun since Dark Souls 3 release

The easiest way is too use a stagger build and for the valkyries start with a charged attack, then stun them with the bow(shoot them to cancel a red attack) and realm shift

Congrats onthis fun plat. Consider doing new FFXVI plat sometime. I loved it😊
