5:46 You can have 2 chain strikes in a chain because of the particular wording on the card: "you cannot ACTIVATE this card if multiple..." The word "activate" tells you that the restriction of having multiple cards with the same name in the chain only matters at the point where you are trying to activate chain strike. At the point when you ACTIVATE the 2nd chain strike, there is only 1 card called chain strike in the chain, so the second chain strike can be activated. Also important to note that a once the 2nd chain strike is activated, no further chain strikes can be activate. You can have have 2 chain strikes in the same chain, but not 3, because at the time where the third chain strike would be activated, there are already 2 cards with the same name in the chain, so it cannot be activated. This is an illustration of the difference between activation and resolution of cards an effects. Chain strike only cares about the state of the game at the activation, but once the chain resolves and there are multiple cards with the same name in the chain, it's passed the point of activation, so it no longer matters that there are multiple in the chain. Trap Trick is another interesting card to look at on the theme of activation vs resolution. It might be counter intuitive, but you can activate trap trick as chain link one, and then chain 3 more traps after it, even though it has the restriction it does. And the reason is the specific word on the card "resolves." Sort of in the opposite way of chain strike, trap trick's restriction applies only after the chain in which the card was activated has resolved. Hopefully that makes sense, and hopefully this is helpful :)

Buuuut overall great video bro I'm almost in plat with the armed dragon deck you showed two videos ago also switch in and out a couple of cards for more control

I would always run upstart goblin over tremendous fire because at least it draws you a card and if you have nurse burn which you need anyways to win the duel it burns for a thousand, I feel like it's more consistent, also even if you give your opponent an extra 1000 LP it's not that hard to do 9K damage.

I think the beauty of Banishment of The Darklords is that you know they will Ash it. It's such a great tool especially if you are sitting on a Pot of Desires/Card of Demise with either a Bad Reaction or Nurse. I'm actually surprised about your comments on Upstart Goblin, I have rarely had problems with it. Assuming you have the cards, could you playtest my list?

I think upstart is a decent card if you cut simochi as I've seen some people do but I preferred simochi > upstart since nurse usually gets interrupted or removed. I wouldn't mind playtesting your build but I probably don't have the cards, especially if you're on triple upstart

@@SparadoTCG I do run 3 upstart. I've also been running 3 Allure of Darkness. I've been having a lot of success with it. It makes it really easy to pitch the extra darklord monsters in me hand. I'm running 19 draw spells, it really helps the deck play through an ash. I'm still tinkering with it.

I took it all the way to play 3 last season, but lacked the time to reach plat 1. 3x Darklord Nurse Reficule 1x Darklord Ixchel 3x Upstart Goblin 2x Card of Demise 2x Allure of Darkness 3x Into the Void 2x Pot of Duality 2x Pot of Desires 3x Banishment if the Darklords 1x Performapal Popperup 2x Ring of Destruction 3x Secret Barrel 3x The Paths Of Destiny 3x Gift Card 3x Tri and Guess 2x Trap Trick 2x Bad Reaction to Simochi 15x Link Monsters This seems to be as consistent as I can get it. If you go first, you are very likely to win. All the draw spells really help it play through an Ash Blossom. If you can make it more consistent. Let me know.

you can replace tremendous fire with rain of mercy just a suggestion

why tremendous fire? Why not the meteor? It has a restriction of only being usable wen your opponenthas 3k or above hp, but realistically the finish are the traps. Or even Upstart Goblin. 1k dmg and a draw, if you had nurse or simochi up. Edit: you replied about 10 seconds later than I wrote this to upstart.

Change tremendous for Tomato to summon Nurse.
