I am presently doing this also in Ireland 🇮🇪 in a forest in the mountains, our diesel price has gone up to 2.15 Euros a litre, our neighbour who owns a forest is a lovely lady and she loves to know the fact that we are recycling ♻️ and I get lots of plastic from the local surrounding GAA sports clubs and the tidy towns, also I've started to undercut the local refuge garbage company, by collecting the recyclables bins for a discount, and I can burn the papers and cardboards from the mixed recyclables to heat the plastics in the plastic to diesel recycling process in this process, I told the lady who owns the forest not to tell anyone about the diesel distillery incase its stolen, but she's OK about it because we know we're doing our bit for the Environment and stopping global warming, God bless you guys for saving our planet.

Hello, please help. I have a plastic distillery. Today I made a first meal. When I drank the back, only the paraffin. I only got the paraffin. Is this normal? Or is the quality of the plastic the reason for this? Is also that every kilo of plastic gives a liter of distilled?

When I consider the ever-increasing fuel prices..., When I see the numerous plastic bottles that fill the gutters, block the bridges and cause floods during heavy rains..., Your activity not only answers the problem of household waste, but also constitutes a beginning of solution for an increased availability of fuel

Really good job all of you. Not only are you cleaning up the local land, but you also have a near free source of plastic and you can power the operation with what you produce with enough left over to sell. It is very smart. I wish other people in poor area can do this to bring prosparity to their comunity as fuel is needed for everything. Wow.

Putting that gasoline into the car might not be the best idea. It needs to have both detergents and an octane booster added to run well in a modern car. Without that, you will get carbon deposits on the injectors that could cause problems down the road, and the engine will likely also develop a knock. When you started the car, you had old gasoline in the fuel line so the result of the gasoline that you added to the tank were not clear yet. Knock should occur first while issues with carbon deposits should occur further in the future. Lucas fuel additive should avoid the carbon deposit problem while adding some MTBE or blending ethanol into it should avoid the knock issue.

  • @Tate.TopG.

Damn, you definately live in America and have been programmed to believe it. What do you think the rest of the world function? They dont have all those extra additives and I can assure you their odometer goes over 300k to 500k without engine issues. Carbon buildup will allow occur cuz carbon buildup is created by engine oil being burnt. It has nothing to do with fuel being burn. I never seen fuel being burnt on the open and leaving carbon deposit . That's why they use oil catch can , dry ice, walnut sand blasting to get rid off it.

Its great to see that you made an idea into buissness. It not only helps the environment but is a good way to recycle plastic waste in your area. In our countries of northern Europe its beneficial to incinerate them and use heat to generate electricity and heat transfered trough pipes into our homes. Your start is crude and needs improvement but its a good start for something great in the future. A good idea. A good product and good environmental impact. Besides that your english is great. I can't speak english with such fluency like you. Plastic is and will be a problem. One which we can burn, recycle or make into useful products like fuel. After upping production of fuel and making this system more advanced I hope you will look into another ways in which you can make useful products out of waste plastic. It has still market potential as a raw material. With heat and molds its possible to make something useful out of them. Thats just my idea for side hustle after making this one profitable. Best of luck!!

Very innovative. My only concern is the octane level and compatibility with the chemical needs of the modern engine. It may work for the initial time period but if it is detrimental to the valves, pistons, rubber hoses and other critical parts then . . . My having worked on cars of all ages for many decades I raise this question. As a matter of fact I even own a Nissan Pathfinder of this vintage, early 2000's.

I think as long as it's a multi-port fuel injected engine you're good, Direct fuel injection not so much. As far as octane, it's probably higher than what we get at the pumps considering he's making diesel. Worst case scenario you swap the engine to a carburetor and run it a little rich so it douses those valves and keeps them clean.

You need a large steel tank that can be opened from the top that all your plastic waste goes into, which then gets a lid bolted over the top that has a pipe leading off to a distillation setup. You purge the tank with Co2 or Argon gas (to remove oxygen that would burn your product) then heat the steel tank with all the plastic waste in it by placing burners underneath it, which breaks down the plastic into a gas that collects on your condenser lines and comes out as crude oil. It has to be further distilled to get diesel from it so an additional distillation setup will be needed, and don't forget that many lighter gases like propane are created that won't condense in your collection tank, but they can be used to more efficiently heat the reaction vessel by piping the excess back under your tank. There is a ton of info online, the keywords you want to be searching for are "Plastic Pyrolosis Reactor" or "Plastic Pyrolosis How-To". And shredding your plastic before dumping it into the vessel will help with production quantities, if you're just pouring in whole bottles or other whole plastic waste, you're severely limiting how much fuel you can make at a time, by shredding the plastic you will be able to get much more density inside the reaction vessel.

The method of containing, dispensing, managing the fuel is terrible. The actual making of the equipment and processing step by step would be interesting. I guess there is a major factor of working with available resources but the impact of spilling so much around and getting it on your skin could have such dire consequences.

What's the conversion rate? I'm very interested, but not understanding the method of process, looks like just Cooking it in a pressure cooker and distillation of the smoke/vapor.

plastic usaually converts about 90% weight so 1000 lbs of plastic makes 900 lbs of crude oil and the crude oil is refined down to the different stages of fuel just like in a bigoil refinery. Big oil is hiding this info. most people think plastic is waste. plastic is gold

@@teahaul7897 okay, that's helpful, but is there a way to know how much it needs cooked so it doesn't solidify when cool? There's very few videos or instructions on this right now.
