Plaster Pool Renovation to Pebble Tec - Extended Version

THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING!
This version of the conversion of an old plaster surface into a new Pebble Tec surface includes more detail on the process than other shorter versions.
The renovation included demolition of the old plaster surface and tile, preparation of the new surface with a bond coat, application of the new Pebble Tec surface, and final preparation of the new surface before refilling with water.
00:00 - Demolition and Tile Removal
01:16 - Installation of New Tile
01:52 - Initial Pressure Washing
02:40 - Bond Coat Application
03:23 - Pebble Tec Application
08:24 - Acid Wash & Final Cleaning
ASP Pools & Spa Columbus performed this work over an 8 day period with 2 days required for demo and prep of the new surface, one day for Pebble Tec application, and one day for final cleaning. The Pebble Tec color was Blue Wave and the tile was “Sky” CT STM 37 as provided by Classic Pool Tile Collection.

We redid our 2nd pool with it and loved it. Only regret… it wasn’t dark enough. Folks if your wanting the lagoon/pond/lake look get on them because they always tell you oh “it will be dark enough” NO IT WON’T specially when it WILL hold heat which is what YOU WANT!!! Our first pool was painted and freshly when we owned that one! HORRIBLE!!!! Peeled within a YEAL and CUT/PEELED OUR FEET. Had the tile redone BTW with TEC and color changing with light effect (EPIC & WELL WORTH IT). PLUS change the pool to salt at this time… TOTALLY WORTH IT! And trust me NO big deal… SO MUCH EASIER TO DEAL WITH!!! And if your looking at solar covers not worth the money… when we had our first… we went through 6 before we stop buying them. If anything invest into an automated cover if you won’t want anything in pool, enclose it or cage it like a Floridian pool. but your always going to get something in it.

We're also getting Blue Wave on our resurfacing. Your pool looks great! Awesome job by them. Questions: How much time passed between finish of "Pebble tec application" step and start of "acid wash and final cleaning"? ie how long did they let the plaster harden? After the last step, did they immediately fill the pool with water?
