Great work Matt... Kickstand is on the wrong side though.... 😎

It's in the right side now. LoL
Sweet video. I kinda like the none talking aspect for the first part of the video, especially if you prefer it Matt and makes your life easier
Who doesn't like a nice piece of knurling?

I'm just glad to see someone building a custom bike who DOESN'T instantly go for foot pegs that end in a calf impaling point ! :)
Plasma cut the Xtreme plasma-logo from some steel and use it as a stencil to sand/glass blast the logo to the raw aluminium on the tank
@kruleworld

a good idea. i was thinking he should take the honda logos off the engine and make a new piece with his logo.

That's a cracking idea, I bet they'd love that.
That fuel tank is a work of art
Starting to take shape nicely. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Great progress Matt. I can't help seeing skull shapes as the "lightening holes" in the mudguard stays. Another way to show off the advantages of plasma cutting.
I do like the tailpipe finishers, Matt... something different! Cheers. Leigh

I know it's irrational, but I am beside myself with those as well.
Like a BOSS!! Who needs a cnc???!??
Nice workmanship there.👍👍👍
Nice exhaust tips! I love that their matte finish matches that of the tank. Nice touch! Good work on the rear fender bead too! I was just thinking about what colour you should paint the frame. Since you are building this bike to show off the capabilities of Xtreme Plasma, you might think about using a strong colour to show up that gorgeous plasma-cut frame. A searingly bright red would do that. Anyway, it is just a thought.

It does want to be something that shows off the frame for sure, no point in doing all that work to not show it off eh ;)
nice mudguard work Matt
Brilliant job Matt - looking sweet!
great vid Matt, love the style and content as always !!
Luvverly! Thanks as always for sharing Matt!
Great work, particularly like the wire edging on the mudguard mod, skills man, respect!
I absolutely love this build!
Liking how this is coming together - except the bit of builders strapping holding the mudguard, Is that what it looks like to others too? Looks out of place altogether. I think it's the round holes, maybe it should be slotted instead of round holes? Or maybe even the logo cut into them?
@whatnowstinky
3 жыл бұрын
I was thinking loose them all together and cut a spine that runs up the length of the mud guard with a second mounting point at the top frame brace. Either slotted to match the frame or with the X-treme Plazma logo. Maybe twin spines even.
Amazing thought process and attention to detail.
Amazing work as always Matt
Your videos are right up there and this one is the best to date, please keep them coming. I used to to love to get that perfect knurl. The Bestons work beautifully with the whole of the build and your mudguard work is a joy to behold.
It’s coming very very nice . Excellent job👍
You should weld up a couple of your cool dice appropriately sized to hold the headlight and taillights.
Matt, great job brother. I’m building a bobber too, it’ll be ready in the spring. Keep on keeping on!🇬🇧👁
Awesome 👍🏼👍🏼🤙🏼 coming along nicely 😀👍🏼🤙🏼
nice work mate!
Fantastic scratch-build man! The fender makes it.
Great progress matt
Nice work all looking good, like the exhaust tips gives a bit of different look.
Great work. Love the foot pegs and mounts. You should sell them. I need a pair.
The bike is looking cool. Totally different than most builds.
I'm not sure I even know how to watch one of these that doesn't begin with a clap and "What's up? Matt here from Urchfab..."
A man of few words.
Looks simple neat and tidy... guess that's the key.👍 well engineered. It's a yes from me
Looking good matt
Nice little putt yer buildin there son! Ya oughtta think about building bikes for a living!!
Matt, I'm sure some M/C mechanic will shoot me in the hoo hah if I get this wrong, but an alternator needs live voltage fed into it before it will ever make a charge- a generator will make juice it it merely turned over. I'm mostly a car guy, but that seemed a sure bet to me! Awesome bike- can't wait to see you ride it!
Lots of good fabrication in this episode :-)
MORE GREAT WORK WELL DONE
Low and loud I love it 😎
lovin this bike build....
Those look amazing
Cut the logo out on sheet metal and bolt it to the side of the tank
Hey man Kevin here from Australia. The bike is surely looking the business. Thankyou for sharing stay safe. ✌ Peace. 🏍
Footpegs really need to fold/hinge up. If you catch the road on a bend, it will have you off!
Great video. Wicked looking bike. Mahalo for sharing!🐵
Coming up well . Have u put any thought into the rear caliper being mounted on the frame . ? When u adjust the chain and move the wheel the caliper won't move with it and line up with the disk properly. Most bikes the caliper moves with the axle

Its a show bike. It'll never do more than a few miles in its life. Regarding frame flex, the same thing applies. The bike is being built to promote a plasma cutting CNC system at shows and expos not to be a daily driver..
I feel as if the rear mudguard needs to be a bit more.....coffiny. Can't really think of a better word 😂

"Angular" ?
ive loved this build from the very start. Only thing id change is the rear mudguard brackets. Seeing as theres no seat going on it, hidden internal brackets would have been better imo.
G'day from West Australia, Matt😉 Looking good buddy, a bit more imaginary thinking, cutting, welding, test ride🙂👍👍
Looking like a good usable custom bike. Worthy of an N.C.C. bike.
Coming on well, I like what you've done --
I had one of those in the 90s
lookin' awesome
Could you do the hand grips to suit the foot pegs? This bike is awesome , the owner must be thrilled.
vinyl wrap might make life easier
Looking great, nice fabrication and lathe skills as usual
jack the front of the bike up real high when you bleed the brakes this will help get the air out of the caliper
Replace the engine casings with the HONDA logos to custom made XTREME PLASMA LOGOS..... 🤔
Wow - I don't think I have ever seen a side-stand on the right...!
Sips on some good content
Just a safety note... Those foot pegs should be hinged so that they don't anchor into the road if you lean over too far. Might be an MOT issue.
The way those pipe ends taper in from above just looked so sexy urchy. Loving ya work bro
It's looking good 👍👍🇨🇱
Paint the bike same color as the mongrel with the tank a cream white, accent pin stripes in red. See if your sponsor can do their logo in some old school font look.
Awesome bike mate. You look like you’re in a comfortable position to do a long ride on it !! (Do a long ride before you hand it over 😁)
I was watching a Boosted Boys the other day and the guy called Kyle was welding something up, I shit you not when he was done he said "like a glove" in the same way you do.
hi bike looking good
I would love to have that bike when your done.
Just a thought - Anodize the tank with the xtreme plasma logo in a contrasting color , not sure if the weld material and the sheet material might produce conflicting shades or not though , but I think it would look hella cool if you could pull it off!
Genius
Love your work Matt as always. Would have liked to have seen the rear mudguard match the angular nature of the tank or something of that kidney - I reckon that old one looks a bit out of place now that you’ve done everything else ..
Looking nice ..liking the foot mounts . Exhaust ends are different .coming along nicely will look stunning . Are you gonna take it for a long test ride before handing over to extreme plasma
That's a true custom build if ever there was one. Is there a reason for putting the side-stand on the right ? Can't say it's wrong, just different and maybe adds to being 'custom'
Coming along nicely, it's always the little bits that take the time to get right. Airbox to match the tank or some ram tubes to match the exhaust?? Thanks Matt.
It's looking great, love the exhaust ends, they look proper smart from above, and at 12:00, that's how things are knurled, never seen that done before, I'm sure Extreme Plasma will be well happy with how it's coming on, we all are, keep up the brilliant work, as always. P.S. how's the Mongrel coming on? ;)
Hey Matt, I like everything about that bike apart from the front wheel, I don't know if its the low profile tire or the style of the mag.
At the end I really wanted him to say send it for paint, powder coat and chrome!
maybe try and keep the tank raw and have the extreme plasma logo etched into it?
Hi Matt you’re design and fabrication skills are awesome, it was interesting to see the cross hatching on the foot pegs being done I’d always wondered how that happened. Looking forward to seeing it in paint, and if you’re saying it’s almost finished what can we expect next? Take Care Stay Safe Everyone Regards Dave

It's called knurling sir and I'm so envious that he has such a lovely little lathe to do that on, along with all the other stuff he can do with it.
Greatwork on the bike , will the floating rear caliper will hit the mudguard stay when the pads wear
Nice
Really think the bike would suit a smaller wheel and bigger tyre on the front
Was there a time before the plasma and the lathe? It's seems like a lifetime ago. So great to watch. Cheers
Right off the pages of AWOL 1993 some upswept pipes with tractor flappers was the only thing missing, lol.
Neat caliper mounting...! Is that bead on the mudguard a length of round wire...?
2 things. I think the tank desperately needs to be a rounder shape. also, it seems like your rear brake bracket is only going to work at one chain length....
Nice one Matt! Those exhaust tips, can you let them revolve for a bit of thrust vectoring? :-) The headlight, can I suggest an outside coffin shape (echoing the fuel tank) with twin bulbs set on above the other for dip and main beam? Lastly, would it be easier to vinyl wrap the tank and rear mudguard? :-)
Hi Matt. I have a feeling the reason you need a battery is because the alternator has an live feed to fire up the coils. Been a long time since I hade one of these so could be wrong. Loving your work .
So how does the rear brake calliper move backwards to stay with the disc when the chain needs adjusting ?
@Reman1975

I think, at the end of the day, and in the big scheme of things............... It won't. :D I'm guessing this bikes pretty much just going to be an expensive show stand prop when it's handed over to Extreme plasma, so I doubt it'll do enough miles under it's own power to ever need the chain adjusting.
Easy Rider!
Matt, loving this build but I think the thread diameter and internal stud thread length on the footrests is too small and too short for the aluminium to be able take the weight of your feet for very long....bigger and deeper would be more durable in the long run I would say...
Nic bike mate, if you need a man to do the air brushing the Steve Slight (joebys air brush art) is your man. In Wells Somerset..
I love your builds and Im looking forward to seeing how this bike turns out. Out of interest are you going to do the SVA thing or will you just be using vehicle documents from something else?

............ I'm not seeing a number plate bracket anywhere yet. 😗
Y cuando tenses la cadena la pinza no acompañará a la rueda 😂😂😂😂😂 Eres un campeón 😂😂😂😂 Menuda chapuza 😂😂😂😂
Quite a bit of cantilever on those caliper mounts, coming along though. Are you planning on some form of baffles for the exhausts?
You could always think about having the tank and mudguard hydro dipped...
Do you have any plans to include extreme plasma’s logo on any components? Also since the tank is shaped like a coffin are you going to put tombstones and crosses as accents? Kinda go for a theme.
Needs to be said but the side stand is on the wrong side - should be on the left. Also with those low pegs & non spring loaded you´re not gonna have much corner clearance.... And little concerning about rear brake caliper being fixed - what happens when you move the back wheel to adjust chain tension or chain length due to gearing changes?
You could etch the tank then anodize it with the logo?
