I think they worked the headland but without planting. They would finish by planting the headland last.

Why are they driving over the already planted rows?

The rows end where that trailer's tracks cross the lines. The rows are there, but the planter can and is stopped at an earlier point, so yes there are rows, but there are no spuds there.

You would think there would be more potato fields out there with how popular they are. I was hoping they would let the GoPro go through the rototiller but they didn't. :(

I've had people telling me they're planting potatoes right now on land just like this, it's awesome to see footage of it actually happening! Where is this filmed? Really want to see if I can spot the fields on Google Earth :)

The guidance system feedback loop needs a little bit of work. Seems to be overshooting the steering and there are a lot more course corrections than needed.

Why do they often skip one pass when planting? Sounds like it would be hard to keep it in parallel without a guidance. Do those trenches stay like that till harvest?

serg472 Its called planting in lands, makes it easier when turning at the ends, and this tractor looks like it has guidance (probably RTK, meaning sub inch accuracy) so it should match up correctly

does someone know what is the point having the "pipe packer" (don't know the correct term in english) in front of the Fendt? NH just has the fertilizertanks at front but not the pipepacker?

Fordsonisti vielleicht, da der NH auf raupen unterwegs ist, muss er den boden nicht auflockern, da er letzteren auch nicht so stark komprimiert.

maybe the NH doesn't need to, because of the rubber tracks, that reduce the ground compression, the Fendt on the other hand needs the Packer to "soften up" the ground, because of its high compression rate. Sorry for that grammar

Ruben Meijer they don't do a headland so the potato harvester can turn around
