I'm in zone 3 in northern Minnesota. I have that tall sedum you got. Mine made it through our winter except both ends that got uncovered with snow and then it became bitter again. So, if you can keep the snow cover, it will be fine. Also, those hydrangea trees, watch out for where you need to throw snow off your driveway. A friend in the area has a hydrangea tree that is a strawberry vanilla. It does fine up here as well. She takes off all spent blooms so that the snow doesn't weigh heavy on them.

Yes we have two other hydrangea trees and I wasn’t able to remove the old blooms before a heavy snow storm and we lost a few big branches 😩 so I will definitely make sure to remove the blooms before our first snow this year! Thanks for watching and for the advice!

Very nice colors on the rocks, and you made excellent color selections on the plants. Would like to see what it looks like this summer.

    2:40の植物を私も庭に植えています 飼い猫が隠れんぼして遊びます ただ、日本は湿度が高いので蒸れて、枯れそうになる時もあります 素敵な庭になるのが楽しみですね

How do you prevent the weed to grow around the rocks?? Thanks

  • @simplybloom

The perennials grew in very quickly and did a great job at preventing any weeds from growing. I did get a few random grass pieces pop up here and there around the rocks but they were easy to hand pull. I suppose an extra layer of mulch would help keep the weeds down even more but I never added any mulch.

How the dirt not wash away after watering?

  • @simplybloom

I had to be very careful when watering in the beginning but then the soil settled into the rocks and I haven’t had a problem with it washing away.
