@@CarnivorousPlantsSydney I’ve been fertilizing them every week and recording short updates so that I have a long period of time to truly show the difference in growth they might have had. So far it helps make the plants much darker in colour. But it may take a while as I am going to start the venusflytrap series next which I am very excited for

From all carnivorous plants I like the Venus Flytrap at most. Her alien-like look give it to. I started with carnivorous plants in 2011, the bulk of my small collection is made up of Dionaea and Drosera. I want more, but I have not enough space. xD

thank you for growing instead of taking from South Carolina. i knew a pet store owner that dug them up illegally and brought them back to Seattle, most plants died

If I got some of those to eat some flies in my home that would do the job? I mean: it wont lure more insects to them and by that increases the insects after all?

How are you going to select for best traits if you were to selectively breed the best? You would have to look for and avoid weaker or regressive traits

Also adaptation, mutations and etc. You get lots that might not fit the category but have still good lineage and could be sold (seeds to future clients ot customers)

if you want very big plants, look for the variants "GJ Titan", "DC XL", "B52"

It doesn’t actually swallow anything. It uses a type of acid. Much like how your stomach works. After a fly has been “consumed” there will still be plenty of remains that are then blown away by the wind.

Now, do 300 venus flytraps (from this video) vs 2000 flys
