I absolutely love that you showcase houseplants that are obtainable to what I believe would be the majority of us collectors out here, that don't want to (or cannot) spend a mint on. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good "rare" houseplant video, I love anything related, and I have been super thrilled to be able to purchase harder to find plants now that they don't cost an arm and a leg, but just seeing someone enjoying the same common houseplants as me is really nice.

I just want to say it really stands out to me how you have blossomed with confidence not afraid to be yourself ❤ 💪 loving what im seeing. And yes love the plants of course ❤ (not that you seemed afraid before bc you didn't). I can just see your vibrance so much now.
Omg! My mom gives her spider plant the rest of her water every morning. Who knew that this is a "Thing" LOL 😂 I love your apartment. ❤ And I love the Maiden-hair fern too.
It's the "wink" after the not-so-subtle promo for me 😂
I feel this is a new format for you and I'm loving it...great editing. After I cleaned house recently picked up Anthurium Hookerii, 3 Philodendrons (Chocolate Empress, Summer Glory and Billietiae). The prices have come way down, which is great. Love going to the nursery and finding "my people". Customers end up talking to each other, sharing their plant stories; not a single person is in a rush to leave, maybe they should add a cafe for us! But then of course we would never leave...lol!
My sister sent me one of your videos last year and I'm hooked. We love ❤️ you! Thank you for all your help and humor. 😅
Woow I never seen Monstera siltepecana that lush. You're so lucky.

Hoya Cumingianas grow like weeds. I have one on a homemade circle hoop in full sun and it needs to be pruned often to keep the shape. It is generous with blooming also.
I had tons of success with maidenhairs after I started using a light, inorganic top dressing to help slow down evaporation from the soil.

I saw they have those on Costa Farm's website! I have one long vine but I was thinking about ordering one from them to help fill out the planter with chopping 😂
I adore Aglaonema! 💚 the more basic and old school the variety, the better, such as the Aglaonema Calypso! It was impossible to find for sale at a reasonable price and Then I visited my grandmother’s sister in Puerto Rico and she had a giant one that I got a FREE clipping from! Old school plant from and old school lady giving very new school vibes ☺️🥰

Oh I love that! Yes I agree the old school ones are great - I love my modestum. So plain, yet perfect. I wish they were all easier to find!
I have a golden Madonna and I love it. It almost glows. It is easygoing and grows fast. It will push out new leaves without high humidity, but I have noticed that in low humidity the leaves will curl. I recently got an aglaonema white edge in a 10” pot from a big box store for less than $30! A local nursery has 10” pots of a smaller white edge for $75. I have admired the white edge for a few years, so I am glad that one of the few times I didn’t impulse buy a plant has saved me a lot of money 😂
I love how happy you seem right now
Maidenhair don’t die. I repot mine in peat moss have mine over 4 years and cut it back when I have forgotten to water it.
Good Morning Nick.....happy to see you. Nice haul and really love the look of the hoya with that trellis. Also when you did that side shot ,the area by your mirror looks sooo good. Have a great day!

Beautiful I keep buying out of my job it's a local grocery store but the plant department there is better than all the big box stores combined. I have bought a green heart leaf philodendron, a never never plant , a hoya crimson princess. A ficus tineke. The hoya is my first hoya.
So you asked: yesterday I bought 14!individual myrtillocactus geometricans in 1 pot, decent size. I ve never seen a "Forrest" of columnar cacti, pot relatively heavy 🤷🏻♀️

oh wow, that's a great find! sounds hard to pass up 😂
Here in Thailand we grow those birds nests outside and they even do dry out during the hot season (40C) and because they are so large they survive. So chances are... it'll do great in your home outside the cabinet.
I fell in love with that same hoya a few weeks back and brought it home with me!
Just went to a plant swap, my first…was fun but lots of spider plant cuttings and pothos. Did snag a baby Alocasia, but the surprise to me was a largish Citronella plant-Pelargonium gravelolens. Ooh the scent, I have it where I can smell it all the time and love it… something unexpected and different! 🌿💚

The Ag looks so good in your cabinet. I have pared down on the plant buying. My house looks like a plant shop. But I did buy a mint monstera and a desert rose in 2024 (with plans to eventually bring that outside when it warms up). When/if the teruno pothos come to local stores, THAT will be my kryptonite.

I had to google that pothos, I hadn't heard of it! always fun to see a new variety 😄
I have a monstera deliciosa on top of milsbo as well! the cabinet is not very far from the windows but the pot is high up, so it does not get direct light. my monstera stopped growing once I moved it there, but it has bigger fenestrated leaves, so it looks awesome as it is and I am happy that it does not grow cause it would reach the ceiling soon. I do have tall ceiling in my living room (maybe 10ft?).
Great haul.👍🏻

I check out thrift shops for baskets and put most of my hanging plants in them. I usually leave the plants in their original hanging containers for a while, take off the bottom reservoir, and put a plastic collection tray in the bottom of the basket. I water with little problems (I tend to be on the stingy side with watering) and most of the time don’t have to dump any water out of the trays. I love the look of hanging plants in baskets!
