Sam Perry, MS Ed., is an Indiana and Illinois licensed mortician, Southern Illinois University- Carbondale mortuary science lecturer, and current President of the Green Burial Council International, 501 (c)(3). He has over a decade of experience in the funeral industry as a funeral director, crematory operator, anatomical gift coordinator, and deathcare educator. He has always been passionate about the environment and found his place advocating for sustainable death options.
Emily B. Miller is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, and Certified Life Cycle Celebrant. She has worked in funeral homes and cemeteries of all sizes. Emily founded and operates the first ecological Burial Preserve in Colorado. Her passion is helping people engage with the dying process through ritual and the lessons from nature.
