Bonjour from Quebec, Canada. I was so happy to see your video this morning. It started my day with a big smile. Spring is slow in coming to the Eastern Townships but we do have daffodils, tulips and hyacinths blooming. Loved the results of your cake; I thought it looked like a Monet painting with all the soft colours. A bientôt!

Ah, your spring sounds very much like ours Ro! That said, today - May 1st - it is very sunny and warm! I've got a load of washing out on the line, but I am still keeping my beady eye on it, the sun vanishes behind thick cloud from time to time and we had quite a bit of rain again last night.

Love the wreath - I actually went more delicate this year too. I found a really sweet small wreath with faux tea roses and fern and decided to hang it inside a larger wicker wreath - I do love how it looks. The cake size is perfect - especially when twin grandsons come by. I sometimes put a few mini choc chips in each and then they have three cupcakes each. I love "menopause in weather form" - so true here too. Last Monday's high was 53, today will be 83. We've gone from heat to a/c in just a few days. No off time for the utility bill! It's funny how taste changes isn't it? I have really gone awat from busy wreaths, and I notice that the seasonal ones sold in shops tend to be absolutely full to the brim with stuff. The more I see them the more I dislike them. Have a feeling I'll be reworking the summer wreath now too. ooh, your choccky cupcakes sound rather lovely. I've got a new cake recipe to try out at the weekend, suffice to say even it it's a disaster I'll be sure to show the results! Weather is a funny thing, but one thing's for sure, it's never boring! Well done, I watch a few home style vintage/cottagey videos on KZread but some are soooo perfect looking and really life isn’t like that! So your video is refreshing and real. Keep going… I enjoy them from Mid Wales 😊❤

Your wreaths are gorgeous, Sadie. I don’t see why we can’t work on holiday projects whenever we want to, as well as use them. If it makes us happy, why not? 🙂 I still have my Easter fairy lights up in the living room, heehee 😅 Your Wisteria is breathtaking. Don't blame you for keeping your fairy lights up Wynne! Today (11th June) I have a christmas candle burning and am going to watch a festive Hallmark film as a reward for replying to comments! 🎄🎄🎄 The Wisteria was so lovely this year, I really miss it once the flowers go, but make the most of it while it's here! xx
