I’m in the wine biz in the WV. Your tips are EXCELLENT! The number that should be visited in a day and the bubbles alternative in the morning are spot on. Also, many would never think of buying the library wines to take to dinner. Again, excellent tips.

Having grown up in Oregon, specifically Southern willamette Valley (Cottage Grove/Eugene), I would recommend flying into Eugene. You can can start of checking out Kings Estate Winery and Sweet Cheeks.

Great video! We just moved to Portland about a year ago and finally made it to McMinnville when we were driving back from the coast. What a lovely little town. Great restaurants, tons of tasting rooms in walking distance and great access to some of the top vineyards in the area. Even though we only live 1 hour away I plan on booking some 2-3 day "staycations" where we can stay in town and have a few tastings per day. Cheers and keep up the great content!

Excellent! Lots of terrific places to visit. I definitely recommend the top tasting at Bergstrom. That is a must. Kelley Fox is top notch too. Violin is under the radar and a small producer. Not fancy but excellent wines at very reasonable prices. Lingua Franca is very exciting too.

@@sanjaypatelmd4669 You should also visit a place up in Dundee Hills. White Rose has excellent wines and stunning views. I’m not a fan of Domaine Serene. Domaine Drouhin is very close to White Rose and has an excellent patio with interesting wines. You can taste their Burgundy wines too and compare them to the Oregon wines.

Wow, John! I believe this is one your most detailed video I’ve watched, and I’ve enjoyed the video clips as well. I appreciate all the tips regarding the logistics, and the idea of bringing a bottle of wine to a restaurant and pay for the corkage fee. So many excellent tips! I don’t think you left anything out! I hope I get to visit the Willamette region soon as well as the Oregon Coast. Sparkling wines for breakfast is always a good idea! Cheers!

We live here, three of our favorite wineries are Beckham, in the chehalam mountains. They make all of their wines using large clay amphore. Second, St. Innocent, south of Salem. Third, Domain Serene, a little pricier but truly fantastic wines, as a bonus they own a winery in Burgundy, so they often pour some French wines as well. Cheers
