Hi Stephanie. You can use “Strip-‘em Paint and Varnish Remover” to remove the black crosses from your Happy Planner divider. I bought a bunch of dividers on Black Friday clearance and tried to strip them with acetone. They must have changed the paint process because the acetone didn’t budge the paint. So I tried Strip-‘em. It moves the pain in 5 seconds or less. Just make sure you PROTECT your hands and surrounding surfaces!! A couple of hints-1. Pour enough stripper in a NON-POROUS (glass) 9 x 12 cake pan. Use enough to cover the bottom 2. Lay the dividers, BACKSIDE down into the pan. The paint is on he backside of the divider. 3. Scrub the divider with a toothbrush. 4. Rinse the divider in water. Dry. If there is some paint left around the edges of the divider put a little stripper on a rag and rub it away. As always, thanks for your money saving ideas. God Bless.

Thanks for the tips! I was able to remove all the paint on the dashboard with acetone (you need to use 100% acetone for best results). But for some reason on a few of my dashes, the black areas seem to integrated into the plastic, like it was burned into or sandwiched between the layers. Only the black and only on a handful of dashes in my stash. It's weird, but I'll try the strip-em in case it works on these areas.

This has inspired me to do sooo much with my planner! I need to get mine to be clean like this. I LOOVE the bucket list insert!

Thanks! I can only use their monthly layout planners now but mine is for personal use. I had one for this year that I think is the same one you used before & then I just grabbed the same 18 month one and I’m glad I was able to grab the last one I saw in store since I can’t find any online. It seems to be the only layout that makes me feel like I’m not wasting planner pages and they are very easy to customize/use for later. Thanks for sharing!! 💞

Glad to have you back. How did you create the water color dashboards? Is it card stock or regular paper? How did you foil the lettering? I looked and couldn't find a video about it.

Thanks! I didn't do a video on the them but I created them at first on Canva for the imagery, then moved them into Indesign to recolor and the text overlays. Then I printed them on cardstock. Not sure where you saw the foil but the watercolor dashboards I made do not have any foiling. The text is just black. Hope that helps!

Planner decisions are the hardest, especially at the end of the year!

I wish the Happy Planner would come out with covers like this that do not show so many scratches or have theirs covered with a plastic film that protects it that you could take off after you buy them. I hate scratches on my covers.

I purchased it years ago from the happy planner. It was a dashboard/sticker pack set sold at Target in the back to school release from 2018 I think, in case you want to try a hunt one down. I haven't seen any others since, unfortunately.

They are dashboards that I hacked from the happy planner. I picked them up over the years from Joann and Michaels craft stores and made them clear with some acetone. (I have a video showing how on my channel.) I found some lightweight clear top tabs on Amazon recently which is what I used in my reference section. (Link in the description) 😁👍

Salutations! I am trying to get ideas for planning/organizing so I've been watching videos (and reading articles) to get ideas. Here is my honest feedback concerning this video... In short, this video's intro didn't explain what you were doing so it was confusing. At the same time, it was waaaay too wordy with unnecessary dialogue/narration. I'm over 30min in and I still don't understand what you're doing or why. ¯\(ツ)/¯ I'm also bored as a result. 🙄 In the future, if you would pls outline your aim/steps *beforehand* so you/we know what you're going to do ahead of time, I think it would benefit everyone. The video would be more clear, streamlined & probably shorter. Thanks & happy new year.

Thanks for the feedback! I sometimes forget that these videos attract new viewers to my channel that might need more background on my setup. I do the same setup basically every year and talk about it in almost every flipthrough video so not explaining was just a oversight on my part. I appreciate you taking the time to detail what you would find helpful as a new viewer. (FYI I do a full flipthrough of my final setup at the end of this video that might be more of the outline you are looking for.)
