Hi Susan, I'm really enjoying your content. I'm wondering if you would do an episode on organizing and implementing WIN time in first grade? I teach first grade in Montana and it sounds like something that might be helpful for my students.

Hey Susan, for skin care, including your sunscreen, try using organic products that are not full of chemicals. As women, we cover our bodies with so many toxins (hair dye, shampoo/conditioner, skin care, make-up, laundry soap which goes into our skin, etc.) and they are often estrogen mimickers. This will cause hormone imbalances and can cause all kinds of issues that will show up in your body, hair, skin, etc. There are many clean products out there that are so much better for our bodies. Anyway, just something to think about. Thank you for all of your wonderful videos and products. I use them and recommend them to every primary teacher I know.

Colorscience sunscreen is great.

We are doing the animal research now too. I’d love to learn more about the PBL you will be doing with it.

I was in Orlando the same time as you. I had to reapply every hour. Try a Korean or Japanese sunscreen. I love Skin 1004 hydro sunscreen and the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen. Use Avene Cicalfate Restorative and Protect cream to soothe the red.

Is this week a review of 2 syllable words or new introduction? We use Open Court, and it’s so fast paced and hard for our kids. They learned 2 syllable words back in the fall along with schwa…😢

LOVE your phonics lesson slides! Where do you get all of the clip art images? I am going to be dual language 50:50 (English) next year and would love more pictures for my lesson slides.

Thank you!! About 25% are EL students so I am always sure to include images - it helps out a lot! I get all mine from TPT because I have purchased so much to make my own products, but if you aren't selling your slides, you can just google "____ clip art" and grab images from Google!

This was fantastic! Thank you! Quick question, are the headers for your slides a font on Google slides (for example- Lunch Choices)? I feel so limited with the Google fonts and am curious if those were from the Google fonts or did you do something different to import?

Great question!! I had actually made some base slides in Canva and then I just import those as background images into my Google slides and use those for morning meeting, math, lunch, etc.

I don't right now, but my plan for summer is to compile a bunch of my slides so others can use them!! This year I've just worked on creating them for my own students and then I'll package them and make the appropriate and complete to sell to others!

Are your math warm up slides for chapter 10 math in focus available? I’d love to use them as we are starting chapter 10 now too.
