This spread is absolutely darling!! I grew up camping in the California redwoods with my family- it made me miss those summers as a little girl. 🌲⛺️🏔️

Oh- and I totally get what your feelings are about socializing with aquaintances or old friends. I think part of it for me is worrying that somehow I feel that I’m not good enough- and they could be judging me. Strangers are safer.

My daughter says the same thing about it being easier to be social with strangers. So you’re not alone there.

Before I fenced in my yard I went to Menards and bought those black 3 foot fence panels and fenced in an area behind my house. It worked great for the dogs and it’s still up after 10 years and I still use it even though I fenced in my whole yard. It keeps them from getting into areas I don’t want them to get into.

Have you looked at the Halo collar or the Invisible Fence Collar? They allow you to set boundaries anywhere you go and also serve as a GPS if the dog escapes the set boundaries - alerting your phone if they've crossed over the line. You can even set up warning vibrations as the dog gets closer and closer to their boundaries. It's great for traveling and visiting friends too.

You always come out with these lovely spreads. I just love seeing your creations. Also, Books and Wine club sounds really fun. I wish I had one in my community.

This spread is absolutely adorable! I don't camp and am really not an outdoor person, so I wasn't planning on getting this book. It really inspired me to think about using stickers I don't usually go for because they can still make a beautiful spread. Excellent job, Mary Ellen!

Same, girl. Same. I'd rather meet new people and chat with strangers on the occasion that I do leave the house than meet up with people from past seasons of my life. I think with new people, I get to share what parts of me I choose to. With past relationships, I'm on guard for whatever questions they have for me in an attempt to "catch up" - I don't necessarily want to rehash a lot of what I went through to where I am now. I'm still adjusting to where I am now - with my girls being grown and gone and figuring out what comes next. -- One the business end of things: you have a gift of presenting a sticker book I skipped over in such a way that I think it's a "must have". Cute spread!

Just an idea, maybe after being out with the other dog she will be used to the other dog and not bark so much. Possibly even become fence buddies. On other hand I think better gates on deck would be a good start.

I’d love to see how your Wellness planner is working. I just found your Wellness setup video. We have the same symptoms. So far I’ve been dx with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Reynalds, Hypothyroidism, Autoimmune disease, Asperger’s and more. I’m 68 and they’ve been trying to figure out what’s going on. I believe my symptoms started with trauma. My youngest son disappeared 8 years ago and I feel like that was when things really went downhill for me. I wanted to suggest that you add weather to your tracking. Not sure why but if it’s gloomy outside, I’m gloomy inside🤷🏻‍♀️ Wishing you well.

How about like doggie daycare twice a week so she socializes with other dogs and you also get some you time? As for the fence how about like a circular one where she can run and also allows her to be outside but is not a full on fenced in yard?

I dont know if this helps but my aunt has a lot of dogs and in stead of fencing the whole yard they just fenced a small part of their yard . They used a garden fence so it was cheaper and temporary.

Of course! But sometimes I force myself to go places because I am always glad I went and I know it’s good for my mental health. Once I’m there I’m fine
