Plain Sight | "Agent of Betrayal: The Double Life of Robert Hanssen" | CBS News Podcast

How did the FBI allow a spy to operate in its midst for more than 20 years and do such devastating damage? Robert Hanssen’s tradecraft was good, but far from perfect. That's pretty incredible that Robert Hanssen was able to assault an employee and not face any consequences.

"...had went..." Don't people read anymore? I'd have fired her on that basis alone. Hanssen is a rat, and I'm sorry she was injured, but sub - literacy is unacceptable.

Guy named Bob going full Karen in these circumstances. Sounds like you'd be on Hanssen's team from the start.

BETRAYALS HELP US TO ACCOMPLISH THE WILL OF GOD. The betrayal of his brothers took Joseph to the place he had to be in order to accomplish the purpose of God. The betrayal of Jude helped Jesus to accomplish His purpose: to die on a cross and resurrect in order to pay the rice needed for reconciliation with God and redemption.

That sounds like a justification for evil, not the effect of God's will. Betrayals help us accomplish the will of God in the same way landlords help us buy a house - experiencing the negative can be motivating but it can also be an inescapable trap... And it definitely isn't necessary to reach the end goal.
