    The "wrinkles" and the dry brush paint give the impression that this is the face of some creature, something organic, not the plague doctor's mask. The effect is amazing! I'm going to try this with a brown-ish dry brush paint to see what I can get.

    I'm glad I found this. I'm going to my first Ren fair next weekend, and since I have a suitable hat and coat from last year's Halloween costume already, I decided to go as a plague doctor.

    Thank you so much for this tutorial! I've been searching for a good tutorial on Plague Doctor mask without the use of fancy leather and tools. I'll try this out and inform how it went! :D (If i remember hahah)

    @@wickedaviary finished it all and making another. Everyone kept saying how cute it was and how they just wanted to spoil the plague doctor. Accidentally made mine too cute, giving in and making a very pastel valentines one now

    I will try this version. I did not do well with the foil. A girl can never have to many plague Dr masks.

    This looks really cool. However I'm considering using black construction paper (something shiny if i can find it for a patent leather look) and like doing some stiches on the beak curve for a less sophisticated look.😅

    I am always using the standard size A4 regular sized paper and if needed, depending on the pattern, paste it together as indicated. Let me know if you have any more questions. Have fun with the project!

    For regular paintI get the small sampler at home depot, l get the color l want for a good price. The metallic paint for accents are by Rust-oleum all paints water based.
