Dimash was invited as a youngster to join the Astana Opera House, but he declined as he wanted to go a different route. He is trained in the classics.

Hi Rollen Green. Dimash did not "just" step into the operascene. He has a long educational background in classical music including playing the piano and singing opera. Since the age of 18, I think it was, he also joined schools of jazz and contemporary music, and he is still studying music along with giving all these wonderful concerts. Placido Domingo is one of the world's greatest operasingers of his time - he is 83 tomorrow. Domingo used to sing as a tenor, but has changed to baryton, which is lower than tenor. ❤

Dimash’s versatility is the main reason why he is the only singer who can keep me interested day and night. I tend to get bored with the same music genre with limited octaves for more than half an hour, opera tho, is the most beautiful sound to my ears.

Tu as raison, tout le monde n'aime pas forcément l'opéra pur, moi non plus. Mais écouter Dimash à l'opéra, waouh, quelle expérience. Dimash est diplômé, c'est un chanteur d'opéra à la base, mais il a voulu varier ses plaisirs, alors après ses études de classiques, il a fait des études de pop (je ne me souviens plus de son diplôme et de son école) et il touche à tous les styles. Ca aurait été dommage qu'il ait été juste chanteur d'opéra car je ne l'aurai pas connu car je n'en écoute jamais

That's one of the things I don't like about opera, not understanding the words. But Dimash's voice was so beautiful, so strong, I heard only him with all the respect I owe to Master Domingo. Dimash is so charismatic, so talented, so handsome, when he does a duet, he is very attractive and I only see

Donc ce n est pas la faute de Dimash. Il semble que l opera n est pas une chose à comprendre. Mais je ne doit pas me plaindre mon francais est aussi très mauvais. J ai seulement apprise francaise à l école et ca n est pas lieu de approndre une langue.

Kedves Rollen Green ! Hallottad már ezt az áriát Dmitri Hvorostovsky és Jonas Kaufman előadásában ?? Lehet, hogy igen, hallottad ! Tudom nem kell összehasonlítani azt az előadást ezzel a felvétellel, hisz az előadók nem azonos súlycsoportban vannak. Szép és történelmi előadás ez is. Örülök, hogy megtörtént. Természetesen nekem a csúcsok csúcsa Dima és Jonas.

I hope you understand that Dimash has an earned PhD in music. Accomplishing this while having an active performance schedule. Also understand how unbelievably difficult it is to even be allowed to step on stage at a historic venue like this.

It catches my attention, and it is not the first time, as many reactors in the USA tend to stay in a single style of music and ignore the rest... you can be methal, rocker, rappist, pop which does not mean that you are prohibited from appreciating other types of music, which is beautiful in all its styles. I don't understand the reason for this limitation: "I listen to this and nothing else." Well, it will be a matter of taste. But if you dedicate yourself to music and make a living from it, AT LEAST having an idea of who the very famous Plácido Domingo is shows your general culture. And informing yourself a little before making a reaction shows respect to the listener....
