There actually a story behind the island of the dead doll, if my memory is correct this guy was into some sort of witch craft and due to that he was kicked out of the town he was in, which is actually quite close to that island, which is why he moved to that island, then he went psycho or something and completely lost his mind, they don't do anything to that island though because they're afraid of what could happen to them if they do, so it's something they allow people to go look at
