Placenta Previa Management in Hindi | Diagnosis, Complications & Management | APH | Nursing Lecture
Placenta Previa can be best diagnosed by (TVS) Transvaginal sonography that is safe & accurate. Here in this lecture, the condition is explained in Hindi.
The complication associated with this disease to mother & fetus is as follows-
1. Mother -
- Shock
- Preterm Labour
- Malpresentation
- Postpartum hemorrhage
- Cord prolapse
- More operative interference
- Retained placenta
- Embolism
- Subinvolution
- Sepsis
2. Fetus -
- IUGR (Intrauterine growth retardation)
- LBW (Low birth weight)
- IUD (Intrauterine death)
- Congenitally malformed fetus
- Birth injuries
- Asphyxia
Management -
It depends on fetal maturity, bleeding, maternal health.
1. Conservative / Expectant Management - Means waiting till the term and the criteria mentioned by Macafee and Johnson.
2. Active management
Cesarean section is usually done in all cases of placenta previa.

Posterior,not low lying.lower edge of the placenta is 3.1cm away from the os . Isa meri 30 weeks ka scane mein Diya hai , kya isa matlab placenta uper ki taraf chal gai 🤔 I mean it's a safe position to normal delivery
