Placencia Belize 2022 Vlog
After getting settled into our room at Itz'ana Resort & Spa and spending our first afternoon at the pool consuming some delicious tropical drinks, it was time to head into the town of Placencia and check it out.
As you can see it was fairly quite on the evening we were there but we got lucky coming across J-Byrd's Bar & Grill for some Karaoke entertainment and then getting an awesome seat at one of the best restaurants in Placencia, Rumfish.

Oh WOW!! You're going to have a blast!! It's definitely a more chill destination in Belize but we loved it! We used it to literally come back home relaxed where many people come home from a vacation exhausted because they just crammed in too much stuff. We hope you have an amazing time and we wish for perfect weather for you during your visit! Really miss Placencia. Lived there for 2 years and talking to my hubby this morning reminding him how our sil aka Karen didn’t believe that we didn’t get mail or that there were zero addresses on houses/buildings. Ha ha!

Great video! Planning to visit in a few months. Based on your experience is american cash accepted there? Also, you mentioned you had a driver while you were there. Is that apart of the resort or was it a private service? Im looking for transportation options as we are staying in a rental.

Hi there! Thanks for your kind words and we're glad you like the video. Yes, US cash is not only accepted but they love it. So for every Belize dollar, that $.50 US so it's easy doing the 2-1 conversion. $1 US = $2 Belizean. We were staying at www.itzanabelize.com/ resort so they have drivers that will take you to town and then pick you back up at a designated time as a service of the hotel. Based on where you're rental is located, you might be close enough to town, to take bikes. You could also rent a golf cart captainjaks.com/rental-rates/ so you have full control of your travels. We know there are some taxis as well that are not expensive. Once you're in the town of Placencia, it's so small you can walk from one end to the other so you don't need to drive anything in town.
