Placebo definitely underestimate their songs. Leni is too good for a b-side! I'm wondering why it was not included in the album.

It's a great song, but as far as I know Placebo didn't want the Black Market Music album to be as ballad-oriented as the Without You I'm Nothing album, so it was easy for them to remove ballads from the final album, regardless of how good they were.

Simply one of the best Placebo b-sides... This song speaks to me in so many ways... Only Placebo can do that. ♡

Does anyone know if the song is inspired by the movie Strange Days? There's a male character called Leni in the movie (although it may be spelled Lenny) and the way he feels about a woman really fits the lyrics. I was watching it the other day and it felt exactly like this song at some parts. It's also a science fiction movie so the "sci fi lullaby" would make sense on that grounds.
