just fascinating, how he's not moving around a lot, just stands there, dreaming into his microphone, singing us this sad lullaby... and me I'm unable to turn my eyes away from this guy...

One of the best early songs and performances. Pure Melancholy and Romanticism. Poetry.

This song live in Belfast in 98. A mass of 16 year old sweat at the front in the pit, older rockers at the back. The swirl of nicotine and cheap vodka and kissing strangers. The dirty bloom of Brian’s jag and Stefan’s eyes. It felt like you had a door into a slightly seedy, beautiful future that you had been waiting for that you only just discovered, and your friends all knew the words

I love it so much. His emotions, his voice and this atmosphere of melancholy are awesome. This song always makes me cry when I hear live versions of it. On the stage Brian sings more softly and combination of his voice and melody are absolutely unrepeatable.
