    Doc, good day. I have a few questions: 1. Kindly explain the “eligibility application” for FY1 2. Do we need to have passed PLAB 1& 2 before applying for FY1? (I’m asking this because I’m expected to graduate by the end of this year & I want to know if it’s possible to apply this August for the 2022 program) 3. I read the English proficiency eligibility for FY1 & one of them states that I am exempted from IELTS if my institution’s name is not on the GMC’s list of unrecognized universities to teach in English. Kindly confirm this 4. For FY1, we need to provide “Evidence of your right to work in the UK (sponsorship can be arranged for those who are unable to provide evidence of their right to work).”, what is meant by this?

  • @DoctorNosa

    @DoctorNosa

    Thanks a lot! Your English is not being asssesed, the most important thing is the patient understands what you’re saying which is why in one of the stations were they ask you to explain a procedure to a patient, asking the patient to kindly run through what you’ve just told them is a good way to assess understanding. Good luck!

    Thank you Dr Nosa for these self explanatory videos you have put together for us. I'm about taking PLAB 2 exams, hopefully after the lock-down is completely eased, but are you saying that with continuous and persistent practical (applying these things at work with real life patients), self studying for about 5 weeks, like you did, and use of geekymedic videos and other helpful videos over again, there might not be need to attend those academies with their (at least to save some extra pounds which we don't have. lol)? Or did you have to attend academy still?

  • @DoctorNosa

    @DoctorNosa

    You’re welcome! Thanks.....You don’t have to attend but honestly I think it’s helpful to! Even if it’s just to pay for the mock exams which I know Samson offers, you can save by just paying for the mock exams instead of the whole course. That’s what I recommend 😀
