Fun fact about mort, apparently PTG(the creator of pizza tower), literally just asked the creator of mort if he could use him in pizza tower, and they happily oblidged, which is how he's in the game without copyright issues. Funner fact, in earlier stages of development, Mort was going to be the boss of World 2, controlling a U.F.O. Funner fun fact, although i have not played Mort the Chicken myself, apparently mort coming out of a well is a refrence to how you start each level in Mort the Chicken

I think the plans to reuse a lot of level mechanics (like fire mouth in farm) was good, but I prefer how it turned out in the final game with each level having its own 1 or 2 level mechanics with a few of them being reused.

Funnily enough, there was going to be a horror game with Peppino, one of them was Pizza Massacre, a 2D Resident Evil-like game starring Peppino but more horror focus and grim with Peppino being realistic (for some reason) AND the other one was Pizza Horror, an RPG game inspired by Earthbound

The final obligatory boss rush where Peppino just goes apeshit and takes out half the bosses health bars with each attack is amazing lol. That part of the game just boils down to “how much can a lowly salaryman take until he goes absolutely crazy”

For the War level: Peppino is confirmed to be a war veteran and this level is basically a PTSD induced mental breakdown.

11:45 Fun fact: This chase was much harder. There was a lot of times where you had to slide/crawl, and Fake Peppino had rubber banding.

Did you know? For like 3 weeks only early 2019, there was a side-game planned known as Pizza Crawler? It was gonna have Gustavo as the main character and the gameplay would be like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. The idea is people from the Discord server could submit their own contributions to the project in either art, characters, sounds and music? The whole thing fell flat very fast since McPig was gonna work on the main game, it was basically gonna be made by the community. So after the one programmer quit, the project died with it. Said programmer was Sertif, who actually went on to help code the main game with McPig! There's also a Pizza Crawler arcade game in Don't Made a Sound as a prop I believe.

Im so happy to see people playing this game, it deserves all the attention it gets

In order to get a P, you have to get a lap 2 S rank without breaking ur combo

After careful consideration, I think Fokoe will be IGN's next best reporter, can't wait to see you commentate on IGN's next video

pizza tower explained badly: chef with anger issues teams up with fat mouse, short guy and chicken to defeat sentient food, a cowboy, and himself in less than 10 minutes each or he dies

I saw this game back in 2019 and absolutely loved it, and I’m happy that so many people do as well, especially the art style and game play being a mix of stuff like sonic and Wario while having a cartoonish yet appealing art style!

seeing this game being out was so surreal, i’ve been waiting it for so long and can’t even play it..

Gotta love it when Mort the chicken said "it's mortin' time" and then he and peppino morted through the rest of the stage

You should look at the BETA version of Pizza Tower. There was a character select mode with great music, you can play as The Noise and Pizza face would chase you during Pizza Time

Speedruns of this game are going to be incredible

They actually updated that Fake Peppino escape since he used to have that slingshot effect if you got too far away, I'm guessing that was just too hard for others

That was the best ending to any game ever. That I have ever seen. I want to play this so bad. No PC tho. So I'll have to wait.

Pizza tower is a game about pushing someone to their limit, and that truly shines when Peppino gets angry at the end and starts beating the absolute piss out of the bosses

We all can finally experience the life of what it's like to be a Italian.

My friend showed me this game...and I didn't regret it one bit. The art style, humor, and gameplay was astonishing to look at. :3

This is truly one of the reviews ever.

This game is so balls-to-the-wall high-on-something crazy and that’s like 90% of its charm

The combat is the coolest thing about this game for me. Seeing a platformer protagonist that isn't afraid to deck a boss in the face is refreshing.

Pizza Tower is my favorite psychological horror game

I haven’t played the game but seeing gameplay makes me imagine that this feels like trying to control a liquid in cartoon form

As someone who has kept up with this games development for some time, seeing new people finding this game is amazing
