Naveed hehe actually the alaap is the best part for true classical lovers. but i mentioned the last few minutes lest some listeners are not patient enough to wait for it. the video particularly adds to the experience in the last part as you can view the body language of the singers during the taankari.

Arif Ali Khan loved the alaap. A friend in India recently wrote that asatizaa e kiram the torchbearers of classical music in Pakistan avoid any piece of music that has lineage to the hindu tradition. Am currently researching (albiet as a novice) to collect performances by muslim artists who have not shied away from subject matter that may align with 1 religion. Would you agree that this performance is one of them?. "Guru bin gyan" being another one. In my opinion it is a worthwhile endeavour and much needed reminder how masters were made from a different cloth

In hindi and sanskrit madir means home too. So beloved didn't come to my temple but to my home 👍

Wonderful piece and an inspiring effort by the channel's team. Just a small request. I think it would also benefit us all if you could give a brief description of the Raag being presented in your videos. Perhaps the aaroh, avroh, chalan etc.

in this concert, i am pretty sure the lead harmonium player (apologies I have not figured out his name) - did not sing once. Was he ill? I think I have seen that he has passed away - was he ill during this recording?

Raag ke sath sath taal ka bhe dhayhaan Zaroori hai. Yeh bandish teel Taal mai hai lakin yaha koi khyal nhi rakha gya taal ka. Taali bhe kaharwa ki baja rhy hn tamam ham nawa.
