I spent about 3 hours trying to connect the printer to wifi by doing what it said in the manual that comes with this printer. I tried both the desktop plugin and the ios app that it directs you to in the physical manual. At no point in any of the three things I just mentioned does it say to do anything remotely similar to what this video explains. I watched the video, and the printer connected instantly. Where is the logic in that??? How many of these printers must you have sold and somehow I'm the only person that's left this comment, pointing out that your setup manual, app and desktop plugin are completely and utterly pointless. Good job guys

yeah very shit, i spent ages as well when i first bought it to connect it to the wifi, using the set up, it didn't work then had to resolve to this but now I can't connect it again because I moved house and this router doesn't have WPS button on it! ffs 🥲

wth! there's no WPS button on my router, I just moved house and need to use my printer asap and I can't set this up now? Any other easier ways????

All very well if pressing the set up button gives you a number 11. I get 2, 3 and E. Useless.

Why can't you just have a WPS button to hold? Who ever remembers pressing a button 11 times, followed by pressing two other buttons?

most routers these days dont have the buttons youre talking about. canon will never do anything simply when they can make it stupidly complicated.

You guys cant be serious. I dont have access to the router in my building! How am i supposed to set this up? You did not think this through at all.

to be honest, i have not bought the printer yet - and guess what - im doing my research 'before' buying the product - only way to go or you end up wasting your own time and money.
