I picked this game back up last week after years without playing. The pay-to-win aspects, the constantly shifting powers, huge gaps in skill sets, and most annoyingly the people who somehow jump 15 yards into the air without a jetback and rain down hell on you. The game is loaded with problems but ultimately, I've been having fun playing again. I've made custom skins, leveled up my character, saved to get guns I couldn't when I was younger, and I ultimately decided to buy some coins to have a real collection. Now I know I just complained about pay-to-win but here's my thought process: I played this game everyday for five years at one point. And since it's still fun all while being free, not to mention it removes ads that don't reward you, I decided that over the course of those countless hours the game earned a one time purchase from me. To anyone reading this: You don't have to play this game, there is plenty that is scummy and bad about it. But there is also something that's actually fun and amusing, It may just be nostalgia but I believe Pixel Gun is still worth pulling out and playing on a bus ride or train ride. Or something to play with when you're traveling and don't have any big consoles.
