Google should immediately shift to TSMC foundry but they can't do that. With G4 already decided to be a minor upgrade over G3 and will be made using an updated Samsung 4nm process and G5 will be the big upgrade, maybe with TSMC 4nm or 3nm process. The biggest problem IMO is the connectivity issues other than the heating issue.

even if they shift to tsmc they will still lack behind competetion because of their 1 or 2 year old hardware and cores. they woudn't even used gpu that is used 1 year ago used in mtk9200. they r using 2 year old chips to make profit and try to compete with apple and mock apple. they r using money in marketing but not on their produsts.

They would still use ARM public version of core Cortex, mid and efficiency core which are nowhere near apple's design in efficiency. Qualcomm will use Orion next year which is way better than Cortex in a single core geekbench. The best case for google is to use Qualcomm's or mediatek processors because their NPU is nowhere near 8gen3 performance.

Well the G4 will be based on the exynos 2400 which is said to be as good as the 8gen2 so it will be a huge upgrade over the G3

Wi-Fi 6E & 7 are not supported because govt has not allowed use of the 6GHz band yet in India. Same is the case with my S23 also.

None of the phone companies in India support the 6GHz band that Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 use. It’s because the Indian government has not opened up the spectrum to allow for 6GHz commercial use. It could be that Wi-Fi 6E/7, don’t really work if this 6GHz band is not present alongside the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

Now i use 6a and most of times edge detection and blurring is not good, and sometimes a side of the phto gets blurred partially. Dont know why. And googles Bokeh is not natural Boke like S23 .

This review is biased, claiming Indian KZreadrs are paid by Samsung to criticize Pixel phones. However, based on my one-year experience with a 128GB Pixel 7, I haven't come close to running out of space. My WhatsApp has chats from 2017, and I continuously update BGMI. Pictures go back to 2011. For those who don't store excessive data, 128GB is sufficient. Pixel's cameras outshine both Samsung and iPhone. The 5x telephoto on Pixel surpasses both iPhone and Samsung. Network issues haven't been a problem during my long-term usage, and as part of the Pixel community on Facebook, no one has reported network issues. While the processor lacks raw power, its AI compensates. Daylight videography boasts a superior dynamic range compared to the iPhone. Overall, despite alleged bias, this review highlights positive aspects of storage, camera performance, network reliability, and AI capabilities of the Pixel 7.

Pixel's camera doesn't outshine iphone or Samsungs camera. to me its too over-processed. samsung s24u was the camera king until iphone 15 pro came. now iphone 15 pro has the best overall camera system. Next battery life is clearly far better on iphone 15promax/s24u. then software pixelui is very smooth and isn't even close to iOS in terms of premium ness. its too bland.And yeah the resale value is worse than iphone/Samsung. now it clearly proves pixel is for pixel fans like you who loves its camera which is definitely top 3 camera phone and its smooth but bland pixelui. Pixel is not for 90% of the flagship users so makes sense why iphone and Samsung wil be dominating always

Spotify not showing on the lock screen is because of face unlock when the direct to the home screen without swiping up is switched on. I know it's weird but it is what it is. I really hope pixel comes up with the feature which can do both.

i am a pixel user and i will say googles implementation of themed icon is the best actually we only need that themed icon in the home screen because apps colurs will help us find faster in home we choosed the apps so we know were it but not the case in app list and we can see the orginal icon look of the app to identify and to appreciate the developers design

@@gowthamvp9879 the resale value on androids is so bad you may as well wait for the 8 pro to drop in price, I would personally wait until the s24 series to come out and see if exynos has caught up with Snapdragon and if the ai features are as good as they are on Qualcomms, I love my 8 pro it's one of the best phones I have owned but it's not the best and with new phones around the corner it's more of a wait and see type of thing.

A phone’s basic fundamental function is call. If that doesn’t work 100% time what is the point of having a phone in the first place? I dropped the idea of buying it only for this reason alone and got S23U. I had faced hell lot of problems related to this on my oneplus 8t and it is a big problem trust me. You wont get delivery calls properly which is a big problem. I have lost a few deals because call couldn’t connect and my order was cancelled. Messages also same problem. So beware before you buy.

I would like to comment about experience in Pixel phones but unfortunately it is not available here in our country. Most phones here are either iPhone, Galaxy,or other Chinese brands.

I have both Samsung Ultra, and Pixel 8 pro, and I always end up coming back to Pixel. I mean Samsung is nice and feels more Flagship level, but Pixel just makes better photos no matter what. I get 6 hours minimum. Not sure what you did to get only 4 hours.

I've got the pixel 8 pro and been using it for a week now and the battery is amazing. Easily good as the s23 ultra but I'm in England and the weather is cold so this video makes me think that come summer the phones might lose battery life due to overheating 😢

I think you're good. I think there're some internal issues between TT with G india. From the first impression I see many negatives, I'm not too happy. Many international reviewer has not say similar things except the CPU thortling

I believe the difference between your battery results and the reviewer's battery results are because you've been using your phone constantly, so your phone has been able to learn your use patterns and where you could save battery. While the tech reviewer didn't use the phone the whole time, he just used it a bit in the beginning and a bit in the end without letting the phone learn how to maximize the battery for his particular use case.

Watching on nothing phone 2 and really glad to see the comparison with pixel 8 pro

I have been using the Pixel 7 for a year now. The battery and performance is not up to the mark for sure. And it seems it is still the case. So not much of an improvement from Google, which is disheartening for pixel fans. They are pushing away the few pixel fans they have.

As you mentioned there are two things that need to be compromised but there is another one which is the basic things we are using any smartphone or regular phone to make calls and get the calls but pixel devices successfully failed to serve this in India. Which is a waste of money to invest money on pixel devices

In #TechBar's battery drain test Pixel 8 Pro beats iPhone 15 pro, Oneplus 11, S23Ultra Pixel 8 pro offers great battery life. Probably you have the problem in your unit

Why your reviews about pixel 8 pro are biased...Most of the videos uploaded by reviewers outside India, are praising the battery life, software experience and even also the performance.

I have a 4a and I can assure anyone that it doesn't have a good battery life. That is a major concern for an Android phone which is made by the Android maker! Even more peculiar is that many other 4a users claim to have great battery life in their phones. That means different sets of users had polar opposite battery life on their phones made by the same manufacturer. It is a lingering hardware problem that is still not addressed by Google. Unless Google fixes this, buying a Pixel is not a wise choice for most users. I also do not believe that these 8 series of phones can handle Android updates well after a couple of years; the most obvious thing that would deteriorate with each update is the battery life.

If you are having only one review device, then with all the issues that you reporting, i guess it's a defective one...

Adaptive sound supposedly does nothing at full volume. I feel like pixel 8 pro audio is superior to 7 pro and 6 pro. 6 pro to me was superior to the 7 pro, 7 pro may have been a lil louder but weak at the same time.

i have stopped taking portrait shots bcz of unnecessary zoom, extra high details, unreliable the edge cutouts are. what i rather do is i click a normal shot and then in google photos tap the edit > tools > blur. the edge cutouts are way better than clicking the portrait shots. idk why is this happening, like its a same device, same processor to make the decisions and so much difference in directly taking portrait shot and then manually selecting the blur option in app.

why not you (any of the indian peeps) review the vanilla pixel 8, why everytime pro? i need the review of vanilla model!!

Absolutely agree with your every point…I’m using 7 pro since march 2023 , You can’t play game,battery will be last only 3 to 4 hrs max, you can use camera more than 8 mins in outdoor conditioning…and network connectivity too poor…..sadly I can’t switch other phone as I have wasted 80k …The Good things : pixel experience and camera .
