Pixel 7: 90 Day Review
Took a little while but it's here. The pixel 7 truly remarkable. But does this phone have what it takes to go against the big leagues like Samsung or iPhone?

Your channel definitely needs more subs, after watching the video I thought it would be from a channel with over 500k subs. Keep it up and I'm sure you will have over a million sub shortly. Recently purchased Pixel 7 (upgraded from Oneplus 6t) and I'm just loving it.
Pixel 7 is a great value for money phone, in my opinion. I ordered my Pixel 7 Lemongrass 256GB 754€ - January 15th. They are delaying the order so much. I ordered from my own local store and they told me now that these phones will be in stock in 7th March, it may be even later. Man this is taking a really long time (almost 2 months). I've been using my Galaxy S5 since 2014, so I needed a new one phone upgrade. ;) This is my 3rd ever smartphone. First one was Google Nexus S, then Galaxy S5, now the Pixel 7.
Great content and review! 👏👏👏 You have a good understanding about smartphones! I am thinking about switching from Samsung to Pixel rn.

If I may, I'd go directly for the Pixel 7 pro. I've got the 7. Husband has the 7 pro. His phone is very solid and behaves like a flagship. Mine has been glitchy in numerous ways from 2 months in and we purchased brand new from Verizon store. If you're just trying to use the phone it's for... Phone things - web browsing, phone calls, KZread or other things, social media usage, regular messaging, etc. And you aren't a camera snob- I'd say far away from this. The 'direct my call ' feature comes with the tiny # options usually being un responsive so it's useless. The natural disaster feature I don't have experience with. The battery life .... I've never gotten a full day from it. Speakers are decent. Nothing to rave about. I would not pay even $500 for this phone and I'm either going back to Apple ( had a 12 pro max before this) or seeing how Nokia does In the smart phone world between now and 2026. I actually got a replacement phone today for free because of all the glitchy issues when I called tech support. I am hopeful this replacement is better because if not I've got a problem phone until contract is up in 2026. So I'd suggest either paying cash for this or going cheaper in phones OR going top of the line. You pay for top of the line but at least it works

@@rachelbuster2826 unfortunately the pixel 7 pro and the pixel 7 use the same tensor chip and also the same software all around, so it doesn't make sense that you are having problems with your pixel 7 when your husband's 7 pro has been good and not glitchy. I would say its a faulty model or just a instalation issue. Maybe some settings that have been left by default your it? Either way they have the same software and what you are listing as problems are mostly software problems so idk.
great run through!
I just ordered one yesterday and should receive it tomorrow. I got an email from Google offering $150 off. Then, as I checked out, they offered $150 for my Pixel 3. There's nothing wrong with my Pixel 3, except it's getting pretty old. My total cost was $332 including tax. That's the best deal I've gotten in quite some time.
Great review
A really interesting review. There seems to be a few issues with the Pixel 7/Pixel Pro 7 and so I've started looking at long term reviews to see what they have to say before buying one. The broken lens issue is something that has come up elsewhere, so this is a useful video to refer to if it happens to me! 😊
here in Brazil, google doesn't make its results available, so I imported a pixel 5a and I'm loving it too much. I've used practically all brands, but the experience that google delivers with its devices is sensational. I'm not going to use another line other than the pixel now.
Excellent and concise review. Just lose the intro music and instead introduce yourself and jump right in to the review. And you inspired me to get a Pixel 7.
using a note 5 rn, im not crazy bout performance, so i dont think Ill need an a bionic chip performance or any of that, so I believe pixel 7 is the best in the market when it comes to value, and as someone who takes pictures often i can just adjust quality using lighting and setings the pixels cam i beleive its quite pog, great vid keep it up bro

To be honest I'm lucky to have been gifted a like new s22 base model from family member in law. They know I'm a old phone nerd. They opened a line to get free iPhone as they didn't like the s22. Verizon line unlimited and all. So I don't want to sound ungrateful I am indeed. And I love Samsung phones. Always have as I was a Note user from 2 up to 9. And a few plus along the way. In 2020 I missed the nexus line and gave the pixel 4xl a chance. Blown away. I used it heavy and now have 2 of them along with a one plus 7t converted to global. Now to be honest again I love the s22. The battery isn't too bad but I am home more than not. I find myself still using the 7t and 4xls alot more. Why? Honestly it's the fluidity. It , or they, the older phones with their 90hz and 855/plus socs they seem to run just as well if not, dare I say , better than the s22. I would have figured I'd notice a huge enough difference. No , I do not play games. I'm sure the s22 would throw more frame rates I guess? It's the every day typing and answering comments. The s22 for one even after turning on the .5 animations scale in dev options it's still slow. The face unlock is not even on par with either of the the older 2 or the finger print scanner. I have to take the glass off as they at Verizon sold him a stupid liquid glass protector which I cannot tell it's one but there are smudges from it not being applied correctly. Not to mention the 2 tiny little scratches. Victus is a joke. Bring me back to GG3. If I drop any phone it will break. So at least give me the scratch resistance back. Anyway the cameras on the s22? Ok. Yes. Very nice. But not 3 years nicer ...I would need to test the video more which I plan on as I use low light video or non pro light room type in my vids and usually force overlay as I'm no pro. Anyway , my point is ..If the build quality is all they ran on and one UI and or maybe some decent mid pack cameras , the price is insane. 799.00? It should run way way better. Now I'm going to reset it again and see if it's maybe the apks for Google wallpapers I've installed but that's not all. The wifi 6 pulls way faster 986 up and down from my router near it. But in a room away unlike my older devices falls off the wifi 6 and buffers while trying connect to the AC wifi I guess? By the way why isn't the lte or 5g auto connecting to keep playback going ??? That's my take on the s22 vs pixel and 7t from 3 years back. One word people. Plateau.
@robertclarkguitar
Жыл бұрын
PS. Great video. I'll make a video one day once I reset the s22 again and leave it stock a few days not installing any of my xda apps. Until then anyone that read this. If you have a pixel 4xl or op7pro or 7t , hell any pixel flagship from 4 up , I'm almost certain this same appeal will be felt. Optimization is key. That's why pixel is up in cost from when they did the nexus thing. They are doing amazing things. Yes. Bugs ..they need to iron that out but they have !!! Peace. Great video here OP.
So mad my pixel 6 was a dud and had to return it after 3 days. But I’m thinking about getting the 7 pro but now after seeing this video, I may just go with the regular 7. I use apple and android and currently using iPhone 14 pro, it I need a new android device. This may be it.

Hold on that last bit that. You said that big glass randomly breaks kind of freaks me out because well. I just got one and that's not good enough. Should you because I don't live where they can replace the glass that easily. So should I get a glass protector because that's gonna really ruin the form factor of the phone
Currently using P4XL and thinking to upgrade, what do you guys think which worth the money? 6 - 6 Pro and 7?
P7P is my first Google phone and I couldn't be happier.
I have the Pixel 7 pro and for the most part I'm pretty happy with it but there are still a few things that need to be fixed and upgraded in the next iteration of pixel phone for it to be a rival of Samsung and Apple. And Google iron out the dam n screen freezing and unresponsiveness bugs already!
I'm thinking of switching my S23Ultra to pixel 7pro, am I crazy? Will I regret it? Mostly I take pictures and videos, surfing and taking notes....the S-pen is good for pictures so I'll guess I'll miss that for sure.
Earthquake prediction huh? That would be some trick. The USGA has never been able to achieve that.
I love my pixel 7. The only thing that makes no sense to me is the USB A to USB C adapter? Why not just throw in a charger. Anyway, still loving my Pixel. Super clean.
big deal today its 499 at google and they are offering 365 for my s21, think its worth it to trade my s21?, is the screen dull, it doesnt look as vibrant as the s21 also do the volume buttons, they seem too low and could interfere with the car mount, do you notice this? the benchmarks are about the same for this and the snapdragon 888, also does it run hot,?can you drive with it charging in the car with GPS without it overheating and shutting down? I thinking of trading in but the s21 is lighter and has a better screen so im not sure....
Thanks you for the video
The side by side shots which is the pixel and which is the galaxy ?
I wanted to leave my review of use since it came out on the fall last year (2022). I came from a iphone 12 pro max and prior to that the LG G7. Lg and iphone were both great phones. Battery on the iphone massively started dying after a year though. Husband got 7pro and it has behaved like a flagship. 7 has been glitchy from month 2 of use: Audio for calls, videos, etc randomly either don't work or give out after being fine. Calls from people saved in phone are determined by phone to me potential spam roughly once per week. The screen will freeze during incoming calls off and on so you can't answer orrr it'll only let the call ring through once so you basically get notified that you got a call. Voicemails don't come through for multiple days. Typing on keyboard is intermittent and it it does work, it reads the wrong letter being pressed so doing anything on it can require just restarting the phone Finger print sensor is a TOTAL joke. Logging in with pin sometimes takes a long time because the screen doesn't swipe up from lockscreen because it's.... Heavier or something? Idk the fancy terms. There are just... So many little things. So finally I called tech support because my husband said my phone issues are odd and should not be problems. Tech support stopped me after 4 glitchy things and says 'thats too much to try and trouble shoot. You also are not the first user of this phone to call with these random issues. You qualify for a full phone replacement". So I got one less than 24 hours later. If this one fails, I'm stuck with this same device until 2026 Because it was a 'phone credit per line and phone on us ' thing. My takeaway. I'm saving cash for the next option and getting the top of the line (probably Apple again) OR getting whatever midrange option has the best overall performance from the many reviews you can find on the web.
Using 4a in 2023 . Really smooth ui. Nothing negative

I'm guessing he had some of the same issues I had with two different Pixels (I had the 5a and 6a). I had a weird glitch where Chrome browser would stall doing searches or going to webpages, I'd literally have to minimize the tab then tap on it to restore it to full screen to bypass it. I had atrocious call quality on both devices despite the 5a running a Snapdragon chipset and the Tensor chip on the 6a wasn't any better. Then, there's the various issues you'll encounter each time there's software os updates or security updates. Depending on how heavy you game, the new Tensor chip powered Pixels have various degrees of overheating too. And every Pixel starting with the 6 series has offered mediocre to horrible battery life. I appreciate Google attempting to do better on design but they should have waited to use Tensor until they have it 100% perfected and optimized.

So far I've had a soso experience with my pixel 7. The thing that bugs me the most is it's battery life. Idk if it's just my piece or it's a pixel 7 thing, but I use it only moderately (minor instagram and WhatsApp + a big of music streaming during work commute) and the battery drops down to 15-20% within 24 hours of charging. I also have it , 60 days. Very good phone, good size everything is perfect but not the most important thing.... The finger print scanner and face recognition are practically unusable ( they literally don't work) Using a pattern or a code in 2023 is just ridiculous I'm thinking of selling it...

Its safer for your privacy to not use fingerprint or face when it comes to law enforcement. Passcode is protected and you dont have to give it.
Hey everyone. I wanted to love this phone but it will get a B- for me leaning towards a C. The recent phone update increasing battery life by almost 2 hours. Unfortunately the camera sucks. The fingerprint sensor sucks. The camera unlock sucks especially when it's moderately dark. I am going back to asap soon as I pay this phone off.

pixel 7 30w charger support?
3:06 sorry but this makes your entire opinion of the long term feel of the battery basically invalid if you're just always charging it anyway
Just one wod: WOW!!
Can this be used over 4-5 years ?
Guys, Pixel 6 Pro or Pixel 7? At the moment, both are at the same price in my country

Pixel 7, the 6 pro is wayy too big imo plus curved screens makes it harder to protect and causes accidental touches

The 7'll perform better than the 6 pro in my opinion.
