I am glad I found this video. I have had PRP for six years now and unfortunately because there is so little information about the disease I've not been under a specialist. I am going to see a dermatologist next month who hopefully will help me as I'm going through a particularly bad flare. It's so frustrating when even the professionals don't understand the condition and how much it affects us. Thanks so much for this!

Is so painful Hun.. I have also had it for years as well.. I always try to moisturize my skin .. but is still not working out .. I feel so bad

Thank you doctor for this informational video. Is it possible that in the beginning I had pityriasis rosea which developed in PRP? I am aged 61 and the problem begun last January.I was at first diagnosed with pityriasis rosea but two months later a biopsy showed PRP.My respects from Greece.

My daughter faces this disease at the age of six months doctors can’t dignose this we waste our time at so many doctors around us We goes homupathic ayurvadic treatment also but have no results now she is under observation of such a very kindhearted dermatologist he dignose her prp now she is 22 years old the problem is still facing Now doctor suggests for bilogical injections course that’s cost is very much high Pls suggest what should do Is their any other treatment for her She takes acrotac 25 mg from 12 years

Hello, I am desperate for help for a Polish woman who has fallen ill with Covid (asymptomatic) and has a severe form of "pityriasis rubra pilaris", after having performed a skin biopsy. I ask for HELP because it has taken a very serious form and in Poland there is no Covid dermatology department that can accept it. I can pay without problems. Thanks for any reply

Hello ma'am Ur video is so informative I'm a nurse myself.. And my wife was diagnosed with this disease when she was 13 years old and It affect almost 90 percent of the whole skin surface(excluding mucosa) now she is 32 years old. My question is that will she have any risk during pregnancy... If it's there risk then how severe it would be

She can receive topical steroids, keratolytics and emollients for during pregnancy, retinoids and methotrexate are absolutel contraindications. However, avoidable triggers have to be avoided like hot sun exposure.

Reference please ? There is a role of systemic retinoids. Both isotretinoin and acitretin. Although no large scale trials are available for any treatment of prp but there is a role of both of them.

A Combination of Acitritin and MTX worked best for me, i’ve got it under control now.
