I am a Nebraska fan, but Pitt has NOTHING to be ashamed of because it is really difficult to make it to the final 4. Olivia Babcock will do very well in the future and she will be the anchor for the team from here on. I wish them the best because it elevates women's sports and volleyball in general to new heights.

And Coach Dan Fisher once again proves to be one of the most classless coaches in NCAA womens volleyball at this moment. He is incapable of embracing defeat and admitting to getting outplayed. A team does not get 15 blocks on accident. That is from amazing coaching and scouting, disciplined players, and strong consistent play. But instead of being able to give any credit you just say oh well they got a lot of blocks cause those were weak swings. Olivia babcock was getting shut down on the right side. 10 balls were being blocked. How can you sit there and convince yourself of that? A team is only as good as its coach and that is why Pitt has fallen in the semi for the last 3 years in a row. They have the talent to make the final but this mentality of feeling like you are the reason you lost the other team did nothing good we just did things that allowed them to be good is exactly the reason Pitt goes into matched overconfident and with no joy for the game.

Time heals. Making the final four is a huge accomplishment and doing it year after year is something even the great teams rarely accomplish. I don't think he's wrong to focus on what his team could've done better. You can't control how well your opponents block, but you can control how hard you make it on them. You learn and improve and Pitt has everything to be proud of when it comes to this season.

Come on Fisher, 8 blocks on first set against you and your first comment is that the shots they blocked weren't your best? Just admit you got out-prepped at the opening set... What is fisher's problem with recognizing that the outcome of the game doesnt depend only on how his team played but also how the other side plays...

Pitt coach was showing signs of PTSD. VERY low class on his comments. Never compliment the opponent, just talk about his teams shortcomings. No respect for Pitts program, bad attitude. Is Babcock transgender? Extreeeeeeemly deep bass voice, masculine demeanor.

One of the most uncomfortable press conferences I have ever seen. Nebraska is always getting discounted due to the increduality of playing 4 freshman and still continually winning. Huskers lost to Wisconsin earlier this year and gave them their due, got up off the floor and won all subsequent matches. Wisconsin lost to Nebraska and fell into a slump. The two best teams are playing Sunday and I'm a Husker fan but, win or lose, we stand behind our girls regardless! GO BIG RED!

Actually the loss to Wisconsin was the second to last game of the regular season in Wisconsin and we had already beat the badgers in Lincoln in mid october....a thrilling 5 set match.

Dam...they have 2 freshman that played at a very high level and made it to the final 4. Nebraska had 5 highly ranked freshman and played off the charts this season...Pitt deserves credit. I bet not many thought Olivia would earn AVCA Freshman of the year and her name has been in the mix for the national team.

His demeanour is what always has me rooting for Louisville when they match up. I’m nothing close to ACC fan or Louisville by any stretch of the imagination, but I do feel that DBK is a bit more graceful after a loss. Like they were handed a lesson in volleyball by the Huskers and he is still won’t even acknowledge that, once saying they weren’t making good shots hence they were blocked, then saying they passed better than N, but then the setting was off, and it was only when Lexi took over that Nebraska was successful. Not once he acknowledged the merciless service Nebraska brought and how they suffocated Stafford. Like just a bunch of gibberish.. Pitt as well as Louisville need to work on that final stretch if they want to go next level. It’s not easy to make it pass programs that have long and deep tradition in playing on the biggest stage in college volleyball. Damn, even Wisconsin has been struggling even tho they have begun making it to the top 4 pretty often lately in the past couple of years. Winning a natty is not just business as usual; it’s an entirely different approach..

Babcock’s serve is more of a liability than anything. How many serves errors did she have?

High risk high reward, her serve turned around the Louisville match and allowed them to come back from down 0-2.

Right? Most players cannot get them in consistently and they're not that hard to return. Time spent on perfecting placement and dropping floaters would be time better spent. THOSE are impossible to return.

I love her serve. Micha Hancock had a serve like that and it destroyed teams. Bertolino took a set all by her jump serve from Louisville. Let’s not pretend we know more than Dan Fisher. Babcock is a beast. Vargas and Karakurt do it regularly and won the last VNL. The jump serve is not easy to pass. That’s high level and it’s here to stay on the women’s side. All these players can do it but only the Coach gives the green light. The men almost always do it bcuz the point isn’t just aces it’s to throw the offense off balance. Pitt is classy kudos to them.

I would say that her serve would be one of those spin serves that has enough pace to be worth it to try even if it's high error. Next years, there would be less and less error for sure. It takes time. I would rather her continue serving like this in her NCAA days so she'll be more consistent on her pro years

They have a great team……maybe they can’t get over the hump because they make soooooo many excuses. I guess I’m just so used to watching Nebraska Wisconsin and Louisville press conferences. They are all so much more classy. He had the same excuses the last time Nebraska beat them in the tourney. He said then Nebraska didn’t win Pitt lost.

He sounds like a child who lost his puppy. I get it they lost, but even through the game he felt dry. Nebraska played better then them, plain and simple but there is nothing to be ashamed about, they are a good team making it that far is hard. this press conference was uncomfortable, the players had clear looks on their faces that they did not want to be there, even when you lose, you should be doing to by grace.
