Love your videos, I live in Minnesota and was in Maderia beach this past Feb. My wife myself & 2 sons are coming back Feb 2024 for 10 days and are staying in St Petersburg. In this video I was using a 6ft half inch mesh! It sinks fairly fast. Good for throwing off the pier.

Carolina rig was working too! As long as the bait stays at the bottom. It drops off pretty deep at that spot

Take old drink bottles , fill them with water and freeze them. Put them the bait bucket to keep the temp down. I do this on the beach and hot piers to keep the bait alive longer
