I suppose I would not have loved this movie as much as I did if I hadn’t grown up watching it. I was a kid when I saw it in theaters and, as a kid, I just wanted to see more Jack Sparrow and his crazy adventures. So I loved it.

I was like 15 years old back when it released and I certainly didn't watch PotC just for Jack alone. Jack Sparrow and Will were my favorite characters. Now that I'm a grown up, I certainly recognize Jack as the main character but as a kid, I saw Will and Elizabeth as the main characters so not having them in On Stranger Tides never felt right to me. Especially combined with the lack of a bunch of the other characters, like Davy Jones, Cutler Beckett, James Norrington, Ragetti and Pintel and Tia Dalma. Obviously most of those extra characters were either dead or gone but still, withoit them, Will and Elizabeth, it just felt different. It wasn't bad but ultimately, it just boils down to; the franchise ran its course. The trilogy concluded the story nicely and it shouldn't have continued

You know that feeling you get when you love this movie so much you're still watching the trailer regularly cause it's so darn awesome, I DO have it!

best movie i saw in my life. high class humor + great acting + a lot of action = perfect

I feel like everyone hates the 4th one but I love it😂 it's my second favorite one actually. Although all of them are amazing and funny

Not true, actually that's my fav after the #1, cuz IMO the boring characters (yep including Orlando Bloom's 1) have been left behind, & we've a great new female 1 (for me better than Keira's role) with Penelope Cruz, plus a funny & exciting adventure...& of course the always fab landscapes!

It's only a teaser. It has been out for a while now.

At first I was not satisfied with the 4th installment when I walked out of theaters. Mainly because it wasn't what I was expecting. When I think of POTC I think of them sailing on the sea on a cloudless day and here was a movie with almost no ocean in it at all. But looking back it was still a fun adventure movie. It is not necessarily worse than the others as it is just different - and that threw me off at first but I am now use to it so I like it.

I think this movie really shows us more of Jack which everyone wants. I just can't wait for the the fifth one to come out!!!

This is my favorite Pirates movie, love the legend of the fountain of youth and mermaids!

seriously I love these movies so much. I grew up watching potc I have watched each one about 15 times and I never get tired of them.

For a Pirates of the Caribbean to be good, they need to bring back will and elizabeth and get a villain who is not as cliche as blackbeard.

Will and Elizabeth were the traditional good, heroic leaders and Jack was the black sheep of the movie. you need jack and elizabeth to balance jack out

I cant get enough watching this movie.. in fact I used to watch it every week when it was the only movie in my computer> I wasnt working back then so I was not able to pay for internet and that was 5-6 years ago.

coming from a hardened critic, this movie was a very pleasant surprise. As good if not better than the first one. Amazing plot, great characters, memorable scenes, and an amazing soundtrack to top it off. Rob marshall brought something incredible to the series and i hope he does it for the next 2 movies. plus, the cliffhanger at the end was incredible, the black pearl under jack AND queen annes revenge under barbossa?!? next ones gonna be one hell of a movie

I absolutely ❤ this film - captain jack sparrow delivers some fantastic one-liners, penelope cruz makes a really good match for him & although he may have "stirrings" for her, he still leaves her!! Scrum is a fantastic new addition to the crew and Gibbs is as faithful as ever. The frenemy relationship of Jack and Barbossa continues, and the mermaids are just hauntingly beautiful... Long live the legend that is Captain Jack Sparrow ❤

Jack the is a greatest comedic villian of all time

When I saw this trailer years ago I shit my pants in excitement. The plot to the fourth wasn't to dramatic like I felt the second and third movies were. Plus the new characters were interesting, the action was stunning and the comedy was brilliant. It is in my own opinion the best pirates of the Caribbean film I've ever seen.

Saw the movie back in 2011 but this was the first time I'm watching the trailer lol

i really want to see this movie because i love johnny depp and i've seen all the other ones, but i miss elizebeth and will. they added romance to the plot line so that it wasn't just another action movie. it added depth and made the betrayals more complex. im excited for penelope cruz tho!

I watched the movie today and what particularly inspired me was the fact that, even though the director was different, it didn't even for a minute lose this special sense of piracy and its meaning, from all previous ones, i'd certainly pick this for the top!!
